Tom POV
I gulped spit down my dry throat, as I was thinking about what Paul said. The man actually scared me. I look down to my hand and realized I was still purple. I heard tord talking but at the same time I didn't hear a word.
I focus on my arm. I stare at it so intense I fear I will use the force, of something mythical. (Star Wars reference) As I focus on my arm, I start to think of my normal figure. My normal skin. Normal self.
I works.
My skin starts to turn back. As soon as my skin is back, I look at tord and Paul. They look at me. Tord the first to break the silence.
"You got it?" He looks at me intently. I step back, unknowing what to say, I remember tord talking but... I don't know what they said. Paul looks at me confused, then to tord and back at me. But when he looks at me, he speaks to tord.
"Is he making you uncomfortable, sir?" He says smiling. I step one more step back. But I stop there. I speak up. Something I never did.
"What are you waiting for? Let's go!" Tord is smiles immediately. There was no hesitation.
"Ha, Ha. That's what I'm talking about! We need more people like him. More people to get there hands dirty in the battlefield." Tord says smiling, while point to me and looking at Paul. Paul stutters, wanting to say more but, he knows his place. He stands up straighter. And is more formal with his words.
"Yes, sir." Paul and tord look at each other for a second. Somebody pulled a signal I didn't register for Paul leaves the room, saying one last sentence.
"See you two on the other side." He says as he leaves. Tord doesn't look at him. He instead looks at me and pretends that Paul never even said a word.
"Come on, you and me, are gonna run out of this room, as soon as I pull this lever." He says while he walks over to the lever, and holding the lever handle.
"Ummm... why. What does that do?" I ask in confusion. I didn't hear the plan because I was so lost in transforming my entire body back to normal.
"It triggers the alarms. We need to get out of here before the few men guarding the front door get here. If we make it, we can head back to base unharmed." He says and looks at the lever preparing himself mentally.Did you forget already? Ha. Loser.
I ignore him. All the sudden I'm hit with a moment of realization. I look at him shocked as I remember something. I run the one step I was away from him. My foot slams on the ground in the process, making a loud noise. I grab his hand and hold it there. He looks at me with surprised eyebrows.
"DON'T!"
"DON'T WHAT?"
"DON'T PULL ThE LeVer...!"
"And why not."
"Because I forgot to tell you that, there is more than just a few men waiting for us out there..."
".... what... do you... MEaN ThoMAs!"
"I might of made a big commotion outside rescuing you."
".... how so?"
"Like.... helicopters, police, military, and.... tanks."
"Why would they ALL be here just for a man coming into a clock tower.... that is closed? What could you steal?!?"
"I punched a man... then dropped kicked the other one.... then, I dunno, turned into a large purple destructive monster, and kill half the men out there!"
Haha. Guilty!
"Why? Why couldn't you just go in through the back door?!!!"
"... there's a back door...?"
Tord rolls his eyes, and lets go of the lever. Putting his head down and his eyes still focused on me, he questions himself on what to do.
"So, they probably have the exits blocked. So looks like we're staying upstairs...."
He looks around. Putting his fingers against his face and sliding his finger tips across his seems to be smooth skin. My pants tighten, I bite my cheeks.
"Well, we could go out a window. But, how far would that be...?"
He goes over to the window and bends down to rest his head in his arms, on the window sill. He sticks his ass in the air, and I can't help but look at it. My pants tighten more.
