A/N: Please let me know what you think so I know whether it is even worth continuing! I've wanted to write something like this for so long. This is only the first part and nothing major happends in it, but I promise to try my best to make it more interesting in the next parts. Enjoy! 💜

Maja flinched wide awake, instantly sitting up on her bed when she heard the blaring noise. The girl quickly realised the noise which interrupted her peaceful sleep was the fire alarm. The sound of doors closing and people leaving their apartments echoed throughout the whole building, prompting her to get out of bed and join everyone outside. She was warned that false alarms happened in the building often, something to do with the system, but she was advised to always evacuate just in case. The whole situation earned a groan from her, Maja was never a morning person, but she knew for sure that she would much rather be safe than sorry.

Walking out onto the staircase as she left her apartment, she bumped into the guy who lives in the apartment above her. He was sleepily strolling down the stairs, rubbing his eyes like a five year old who's nap just got interrupted. He also acknowledged her eventually, offering her a tired smile as he held a blanket tightly around his body. Maja has seen the guy around a few times within only couple of weeks that she has been living here, but she never really had a full conversation with him, either one of them was in a rush, or it was just simple small talk.

"Cute pyjamas," he chuckled, causing the startled girl to look down and check what she was wearing. 'Of course' she thought. It was her favourite pyjama set with sheep all over it. She cringed slightly on the inside at the choice of her pyjamas from a few years ago, but she wasn't going to let that show to the guy. She had previously noticed he had a lot of confidence in himself, or at least he succeeded in making himself seem like he does.

"You would be surprised at how comfortable it is! Ande-," she paused for a moment, in her mind she tried so hard to bring back the conversation where he introduced himself to her a few weeks ago. "Anders?" She guessed hesitantly while pulling a face as the two of them walked. That couldn't have been his name, she was certain it didn't sound right.

The blond grinned to himself before he shook his head. "Almost, but not quite," he laughed. Andi wasn't used to people not knowing, or in this case; not remembering his name, but it wasn't particularly an issue for him.

"I'm sorry, it's just much too early for me to be awake," she apologised honestly. He was looking directly ahead, which made her look away from him and in the direction he was looking. Leaning against the wall, at the bottom of the stairs stood the guy Maja remembered as Stephan. Before Andi could introduce himself for the second time or even respond, he spoke up, but not to her.

"Why didn't you wake me up. I could have died! Yet, here you are looking fine as hell," the blonde whinged at Stephan playfully.

"I thought you already came down!" Stephan quickly replied, before turning towards Maja. "I see you already met our little drama queen.. He thinks he's the funniest at 3am," he laughed, motioning with his head at Andi.

"What?! I am funny!" The tall blond exclaimed, acting offended. Stephan and Maja looked at each other, rolling their eyes before they finally made it outside of the apartment block.

The first time Maja met Stephan was actually when she was moving into her new apartment. She tried to be all strong and independent, thinking she could carry more than two boxes at a time. Of course she dropped one on the way, which caused all the contents to spill out across the staircase. Luckily, it wasn't anything too embarrassing or valuable. It must have been her lucky day since Stephan was only a few steps behind her at the time. He didn't hesitate a single moment before helping her take all of the stuff up to her apartment. Similarly to Andi, Maja also didn't see Stephan around too often, but she had longer conversations with Stephan whenever she saw him in the hallway. He always made her chuckle after a long day, reminding her of what a mess she had made on the stairs that first day.
