Enjoy! 💜The next few days flew by pretty quickly for Maja. The girl kept herself busy with house chores and working at the café, also finding the time to watch some more ski jumping videos since she really started to enjoy them. Her first day at work turned out to be much better than she had expected. Most of the people who worked at the café were extremely nice and the whole atmosphere in the café was great. It almost didn't even feel like work to her, she even started to quite like the way the all black uniform looked on her. The shirt was perfectly tailored even though it was just from a random shop and the pencil skirt clung onto her hips pleasingly.
It had been over a week since the whole fire alarm situation and the bonding with Stephan and Andi. She had only seen the two boys on the staircase once or twice since then, so she somehow managed to calm herself down about the whole friendship situation. If it didn't work then there was not much she could do. However, the truth was, she was desperate for a true friend, that's why she cared so much about bonding with people. She never really had a true friend and whenever she thought she had finally found one, it turned out to be just another betrayal. There were times she was even sick of people, she thought she didn't need friends, but deep inside she knew only close people could keep her sane.
Today was a bit of a harder day at work for Maja. The café was much busier than it had been since she started working here, some of the customers were nastier than others and she overall seemed to not be in the best mood today.
"The usual please," a handsome guy spoke, smiling at her. She saw this guy here regularly, he managed to even make her day better a few times with a small joke or just a few nice words. He clearly must live somewhere nearby since he came in here so often, or so she thought. She thought he kind of reminded her of Richard Freitag, one of the ski jumpers she saw in the videos, but this guy had no moustache, so it couldn't be him.. If he had the moustache then maybe he would look more similar.
Maja made the usual latte for the guy and placed it in front of him once it was done. She was just about to tell him the cost when a group of guys walked through the door, laughing quite loudly which caught her attention. 'Damn, must have been a funny joke' she thought sarcastically. She glanced in the direction of the door with a frown on her face because the laugh seemed too familiar to her. Four guys walked into the café, the first two she saw; she could have sworn that she had seen them before somewhere. That's when she noticed two definitely familiar faces. Andi and Stephan greeted the handsome guy who was a regular customer. A slight glimpse of hope appeared in Maja, maybe, just maybe it was Richi since the guys all knew each other. She didn't even notice she was staring at them. She finally recognised the other two guys as Markus and Karl, therefore the handsome guy must have been Freitag after all. She felt like facepalming herself, how was it possible that she had not noticed this before, she had served him at least four times now.
"Maja! Go collect the orders, we don't have time! What are you waiting for?!" Amelia, one of Maja's co-worker's urged her with a strict tone. It took Maja a moment to snap herself back to a functioning state from this. She cleared her throat and headed back to the table with a smile on her face.
"Hello guys, how are you? May I take your orders?" She spoke politely, still forcing on the smile despite the stressful shift. They all looked up at her at the same time and she had to fight the anxious feeling, she took a deep breath and made sure she held her head up high.
"Four beers please Maja," Andreas answered almost instantly. She scribbled it down on her notepad even though she would remember it anyway.
"Daytime drinking, how typical of you," she joked, shooting him a wide grin. Maja began to walk away from their table without looking back at them, but she stopped in her tracks when Andi spoke up again.
