Thank you for almost getting us shattered

Chapter 7: the heat

Blue got under her office desk and covered her mouth with both hands so that she wouldn't emit the slightest sound, maybe if she endured it long enough Yellow would give up and leave, she was the last person Blue would wanted to see her in this disheveled state. She had taken off her jacket and shoes and phased off her neckerchief and her gem lied exposed on her chest, now her tight clothes began to become bothersome.

"Blue!" - Yellow shouted and Blue winced at the unexpected tone- "Open up, I know you are in there, Tourmaline told me you returned a while ago. Whatever they did to you please let me help you. Let me in"

"Agh, she's so stubborn" -Blue muttered- "Okey, but stay near the door!"

"Eh? F-fine, if that's what you want" - Yellow frowned at the odd request but the door beeped and opened - "Blue?" - the blue gem was nowhere to be seen when suddenly Yellow noticed Blue's face appearing from behind the desk smiling nervously.

"H-hello, Yellow. I was just about to get to work, the audience with my Diamond worked out just fine if that's what you wonder, now if you'd allow me I'd like to continue with paperwork and stuff and I need the maximum concentration" - Blue let out words with no pause between them, it was like a waterfall with which she tried to cover up a lousy attemp to feign confidence. She expected Yellow to leave and with a silly smile she sit in her chair, her fingers fidgetting uncontrollably.

"Blue?" - Yellow said pacing forward slowly - "are you ok?"

"Y-yes, I told you the audience was just excellent, now if you could leave I'd appreciate that very much since I still have a lot to do" - Blue turned around her chair and lifted the tablets up to her face trying to hide from Yellow's sight - .

"Oh, of course - she said walking past the desk-  but first I'd like to check something out" - and  with this she swiftly spun around the chair, put the tablets aside and took firm hold of the armrests - "Look at me and tell me how great you feel" - she said leaning forth and looking intently into the other lawyer's blueish eyes.

"A-AH! I'am f-fine! Let me go, Yellow! - this closeness was too much, BZ struggled with an inner voice that ordered her to rip the other's clothes as well as her owns and mate savagely - "Please, leave" - she added pushing backwards, the chair squeaked-.

"Agh, we've had this convesation before, why won't you let me help you?!" - leaning onwards as the other leaned backwards even further- .

"I told you I'm fi... - she couldn't finish her sentence when the chair gave in and both lawyers fell on the ground- "Ah, auch..."

"Ah, are you hurt, Blue?" - Yellow grasped Blue's hand and noticed it was burning, she used her other hand to conffirm this and then touched her forehead - "Blue, you are so hot. You're burning, are you feeling fine?" - Yellow realized her fellow Zircon had got rid of most of her clothing, bearing just her tight catsuit that was usually covered by her jacket.

"P-perfectly" - replied looking away - 

"Blue..."

"What now?" - replied sighing and focusing on anything else but her partner, had that wall crack always been there?- 

"Just by any chance, is it possible that you're... ehem... ah, in heat? - Yellow asked shyly. It wasn't a novelty among gems that heat would overcome a few times a millennia but it was treated with the utmost discretion since gems fraternizing beyond advisable was looked down on. The effects are hard to take and  gems either look for a partner to relieve them or have a real bad time trying to calm themselves. Specially given the fact that heat vary from gem to gem,  it's said that bigger gems such as Quartz soldiers bear the most powerful effects due to their hasty nature.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't want you to see me like this" -Blue was extremely ashamed and started crying - "It must be such a disgusting sight, please leave now, I'll be ok by tomorrow morning"

"I don't think you're disgusting at all! Please, I don't like to hear you speaking of yourself like that" - Yellow said cupping Blue's face, she cleared her throat and continued- "Ehem, I'd like... ah, I mean if you'd like I could erm... I...  I could help you to appease your, ehem... your heat"

"Y-you actually want to...?" - Blue asked blushing - 

"I-I mean if you'd like" - she corrected quickly- "I'll understand if you don't see me as a proper partner, I mean I'm not big and strong like a Jasper or an Amethyst but as long as you're fine with it..." -  Blue slightly smooched Yellow's lips- 

"I don't think there's a more proper partner than you, Yellow" -  she said kindly, YZ's face flushed with excitement she felt really flattered and happy that Blue thought of her in that way.

"Ok, I won't do anything you don't want" - Yellow added pulling the other Zircon closer in an embrace - "But if you want to stop or if it hurts, please let me know right away" - Blue nodded and put her arms around Yellow's neck. Both Zircons smiled before melting in a passionate kiss, Yellow picked up Blue from the ground and pressed her against the desk, earning a moan from the blue lawyer
