Thank you for almost getting us shattered

Chapter 10: the worry

Yellow Zircon exited the control room and walked heavily back to her office. Her face was a mask of nothingness. So many emotions raging through her mind could be only translated to a facial expression as nothingness.

She strode silently down the corridors, up the stairs, past the guards at the main door. A ghost would have more physical presence than the yellow lawyer right now. What did she feel? Nothing, and everything. Why did she feel? Well, feeling wasn't strictly necessary to her existence, in fact if she stopped to wonder about how many gems had faced the most dreadful fate thanks to her most efficient work, she would certainly live a very miserable life. Then, why was this different? It wasn't her  fault that her colleague bore such frantic suicidal tendences as to upset a Diamond. 

But, if it is fault we're talking about.... Well, yes, she certainly did agree to help Blue (her own fault admitedly). And she helped her... in a lot of ways. But what was she supossed to do? Blue had seemed so fragile that day, crying desperately under her desk. Was Yellow supossed to ignore such pathetic and uncharacteristic display? That, THAT was Blue's fault, of course. 

-"Hum, such vulnerability is not proper of a fine lawyer" - she mumbled for herself as she walked past a fountain.

And then, that akward (but delicious) moment.... It wasn't her fault Blue was so enticing (the heat's fault of course, and Blue's for being so reckless). She reminisced the warmth of her skin, her laboured breath, her breasts heaving as she strived to breathe between moans... 

- "AH!" - she screamed outraged as her voice rumbled through the hall and a dark blush crept up her neck. But then again, should she have sent Blue away in the brunt of her heat, taking the chance that any coarse Quartz soiled her dignity?! Of Course not!

- "It wouldn't be my fault either! AH, STARS!!!" - she exclaimed equally annoyed as she stormed down towards the end of the corridor and into the safety of her office.

YZ Plopped down on her chair and set to work. After a while of looking uselessly at her tablets without making any progress, she began to squirm restlessly. 

- "Why is it so difficult to just perform the simplest of tasks?!" - she chastised herself, it was a question that had been responded beforehandedly. Worry, Yellow was worried. Yellow was deeply worried for her colleague. She pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed.

Feeling bereft of any means to combat her inner musings, she leaned backwards and closed her eyes taking deep breaths to regain focus, while reminding herself that useful gems do not get shattered. She'd be fine, all she had to do was continue with the task at hand.

As always, saying is easier than doing. Yellow's eyes snapped open at the sound of an all too familiar voice right outside her office.

-"I need to talk to Yellow Zircon" - said the voice approaching.

- "You can't go in there!" - Tourmaline's voice answered frantically - "Yellow Zircon is entirely too busy right now"

- "I'm sure she'll manage a little while for a professional consultation" 

-" Please, don't..." - but before the secretary could retort Blue had already stormed in the office. At her sight, Yellow jumped on her feet and straightened solemnly although unable to hide ser annoyance. 

-"How dare she? Coming in as if she owns the place?! This is what I'm talking about! This cocky attitude of hers!" - she fumed mentally - 

- "Yellow, I need to talk to you"

- "Tourmaline, I'll take care of this. You may leave" - Yellow said, dismissing the raging secretary- "What on Homeworld do you think you are doing?" - she inquired turning to Blue so she could behold the whole breadth of her annoyance.

- "Yellow! I know is not the right time but I need you to listen. I talked to that Ruby guard, and she said...

- " You're right" - she cut her off- "This is not the right time and I'm not sure when said time will come" -  Yellow added, ushering Blue to the door - "So now, I'm going to ask you to leave for I have an entire morning of delayed.work.to.do" - she punctuated the last words, in hope that the near prospect of solitude would soothe her temper. 

-" But Yellow, I need you to listen! I thought that maybe..."

- "Enough!" -she screamed suddenly - You need? YOU NEED?! Have you ever thought about what I need right now? - she said gripping Blue's shoulders- Have you? Well, let me tell you about what I need. I need you to stop teetering on the brim of an abyss! I need you to stop pushing your luck! I need you to be safe and I need to now that next morning, when I come into my office I won't be receiving your shards in a freaking box! - she tightened her grip on her shoulders - I... I need y... I.... - Yellow's voice faltered.

-" Yellow, I... I'm sorry. I never meant to... - but before Blue could continue Yellow crashed their lips in a searing kiss, pressing Blue against the door.

Blue gasped in surprise and that allowed Yellow to deepen the kiss, her tongue delved in her colleague's mouth and their bodies pressed together in a way it was difficult to tell where one ended and the other started. Yellow tilted her head a bit and continued her restless attack on blueish lips, nipping and licking. After a moment, they parted and stared at each other, wide pupils and swollen lips.

-" Yellow, wait. Tourmaline...  Ah! - Blue tried to pick the right words but it was becoming more difficult by the moment, as teeth scrapped lightly at the column of her neck - 

"What about her? " - Yellow queried curtly, licking up the path she had traced down with her teeth -

"Sh-she will hear... - she answered gasping for air, her head backwards as she bared her neck for her colleague to proceed with her careful ministrations.

"Then, I guess we'll have to be quiet" - and with that, she met Blue's mouth in a heartfelt kiss to muffle any sound, as she swiped the yellow jacket off supple shoulders.

Hey, guys! Finally another chapter, so sorry for the delay but I'm currently doing an internship and is very time consuming. Next chapter will be +18 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I promise there's  a lot of fluff coming
