Never Be Alone

Part Three

~Acai~

I watched her turn the key in the lock slowly

The sound of the television was coming from the living room

We could have quietly gone up the stairs

However something fell out of my bag

"Who is that?" I heard from the kitchen

I heard him stumble from the kitchen and I could tell he was drunk

"Uh Acai why don't you and the baby go upstairs," Quinn said

"No! She needs to stay down here!" He yelled in frustration

~Quinn~

"No she doesn't need to see you like this" I rebutted

"Like what drunk?!"

Acai tried to make her way up stairs

"No stay down here, do you know what made me like this?"

I looked at her and she looked scared
she looked at him as if he were a monster

"Your mother made me like this! Because she is a whore!" He slurred as he yelled "she had a baby while I was in service!"

For some reason I felt my cheeks get hot

"My mother is..." I trailed off

"Say it!" He said getting closer to my face

Acai took the chance and zoomed up the stairs

"She isn't a dumbass like you at least. She might have had an affair but she got away with it!"

I watched his eyes fill with anger and get darker

He somehow came closer than he already was

I watched in slow motion as his hand came up

I was so overwhelmed with fear that I couldn't move

I only flinched before he struck me

I didn't know what to do

"Quinn, baby I'm sorry." His slurs straightened up in a minute

"No! Don't touch me!" I yelled

I didn't think of my younger siblings in the moment

I just left

I got in the car before he could catch up
And pulled out

I got to the next block before turning around

I stormed back in the house and ran to my room

I took the baby from my sister and told her to run to the car

when I got downstairs he was luckily nowhere to be found 

"Quinn what happened?" Acai questioned

i felt my cheeks getting hot before I responded "Nothing."

~I'm writing on a computer so I don't know how to bold. I take months to update literally. I honestly don't know where I'm going with this though.... idk wat else to say~
