Chapter 10

HIM
As time passed I was recovering more and more. My parents stayed more days in my host house and my host parents were very friendly with them. My friends were fine too and that made me feel peaceful. Sometimes we reunited and that reunions made this hole hard process easier. I was getting some tired that I couldn't do things for my own. Nicole asked me constantly how things were going. I noticed that maybe I acted strange or different that I used to do. But for some reason, while the accident was super recent, my mind was somewhere far away. Being in an accident like I lived it, changes the perspective of how you see life. In those moments all I could was what I was going to do with life and how I was going to live after being close to death. After having like "another chance" to approach the life I'm living. I thought about my relationship with my closest people. Of course, Nicole was included too. Seeing her next to me, taking care of me like a priority, breaking her independent plans just to see me. Wow. Even though, I guess she doesn't know, that hit me. I wanted her forever. She is one in a million, in everything and for everything. I can't love her more. More than lucky to have her.

Vacations were almost over. Almost all the time I spent it hanging with my friends because Chad started work bing on a business of his dad's friend and he was busy most of the time. That didn't bother me, he was always supporting me no matter what and I should do the same too. Once my group of friends and I planned to meet on a cafe close to the mall of the town. I came late because I had to do some favors to my parents. When I came to the cafe, my friends were acting strange like if they were hiding something. At first, it made me laughed but at the end I started feeling uncomfortable so I asked them what was going on. They seemed unsure to tell me the reality but once they made eye contact, Alice (me and her we've been friends siente we were on elementary school. I couldn't trust her more than I do.) started explaining:
-First of all, I want you to know that what you are about to hear, has taken us by surprise as much as I think it will do with you so once that is said, I'll start. She made a little pause to drink a bit of her hot tea and Lily (Alice and I met her two after being friends. She is like our little sister and is the kindest person I've ever known)looked at her as hoping to listen like me what was going to be out of her mouth.
-You know we have been here in the cafe before you came late by the way, but I'm not making any claims but honey making that clear it's necessary.
She couldn't help talking with her typical humor and I was getting a bit nervous to hear the big deal.
-So, we where sitting just right here, deciding what we were going to order when suddenly, Lily if you want to help here...
Lily made a face of surprise. I guess she didn't expect that.
-Well, I looked at the entry of the mall and I saw... I saw Chad hugging another girl.
Before Lily could said another thing, Alice interrupted her.
- We took pictures but they aren't so clear. We took them quick because we didn't want him to notice us and of course he didn't. We don't recognise the other girl but for sure she's not just a friend o well maybe she is, if he acts that lovely with his friends.
As I was hearing her, they showed me the pictures. I was in shock. I didn't see that coming. And I didn't say anything. They made the suggestion to go to my house and I accepted.
I didn't cry. I was disappointed. I felt kind of fool for not noticing that. I had so many questions but one thing clear. I will be single soon.
