The Manticore is a Persian creature similar to the Egyptian Sphinx. It has the head and body of a lion, and either a tail of poisonous spines similar to porcupine quills, or the tail of a Scorpion.
Some can shoot their spines like arrows, thus making the it a lethal predator. It eats its victims whole, using its triple rows of teeth, and leaves no bones behind.
