Tortured

Grace (POV)

*21 more days until collision*

I sit up, my head still spinning. I feel a hand gently push me back,

"Shhh, you need your rest."

Noelani rests my head back on a pillow and wipes my head with a wet cloth.
I furrow my eyebrows and say,

"Where are we? The last thing I remember is the car crash, then being carried out by someone."

My head throbbing and my eyes fluttering between light and dark Noelani walks away to get another bowl of water.

I sit back up again and look around, its a small room with little light and one open window.
I try to get up but fall as I do, I shriek in pain at my legs. I cant walk, I sit on the floor trying to move my limp legs.
Rubbing my ankles I hear the door open, I try to stay quiet and keep my yelps down as quiet as I can. But instead I hear footsteps run to the window. I expect to see Lani but instead I'm greeted by a boy, his Hair is ruffled. A gun slung around his shoulder, he took one look at me before bending down to pick me up. Before I know it I'm being carried by him back to the bed. I yell at him,

"Hey! Put me down!"

He pauses and says,

"Shut up your hurt, you cant walk."

He sets me down, as he does I notice his appearance.
He has Grey eyes and black ruffled hair, he's strong considering that he just carried me. He's very tall and has a red band around his arm.

He stands above me we intensely stare at each other before he pushes me back and wraps the blanket around me. All I can do is stare,

"What are you doing? Who are you? Where am I?!"

I say with a valiant expression.
He turns to me and says,

"If you stop squirming this would be a hell of a lot easier."

He then turns back to fix my blankets.
As he does Noelani walks back into the room, she has more water. She takes one look at him and says,

"Derek this is unnecessary, you've done enough."

He doesn't listen, but after he fixes my blanket he walks over to Noelani and whispers something to her. She sighs and replies,

"I understand."

After, he leaves the room. Noelani walks over to me and says,

"Hey, hows your head?"

I stare at her with a look of anguish as I say,

"Who was that? Where are we? What happened to the other girls?"

She gives me one last look before exhaling a long sigh, she looks back at me before explaining everything,

"Who am I to stop you from your questions?
After the crash a group of boys came over aiming guns at us, there was a whole argument and we gave a truce. Now, we're staying in this hotel for a while. Its falling apart but its better here than in the open."

"Lani , who was he? And where are the girls?"

I speak in soft tones trying to hold in my curiosity. She moves her position to sit on the bed and explain more,

"That was Derek, he's the one who carried you out of the car, and he's the one who has been taking care of you. The other girls are out currently. Right now its just me, you, Derek, and Michael."
