I walked into Principal Burdett’s office and sat down. “Good afternoon Vanessa!” she said. “I got a favor for you.” I thought for a second.
“What favor?” I asked.
“I need you to show a new kid around school,” she said.
“Uh…”
“His name is Sebastian Ginn, and he’s a sophomore like you.”
“Okay? Why did you pick me to show him around?”
“I trust you the most.”
Well don’t I feel special, I said to myself.
“He should be here tomorrow during first block. I’ll call you down in the first half hour. I already let Mr. Turner know about it.”
I nodded. I felt very nervous about tomorrow. I picked up my book bag and headed out the door to lunch
