((Just a short filler chapter. Also, Nerris x Nikki will be involved now. Oops-))

--Angel POV--

I laid in my cot, tears staining the pillow. "Fucking Harrison..." I mumbled. Max didn't deserve that. That was the punch in the face I was supposed to get. Not him.
"Angel! Angel? What's wrong?" Nikki came in and stood next to me. I looked up at her. "Who hurt you, and do you still have my chainsaw?"
"Harrison, and no, I thought you got it back," I sighed, sitting up. She was fidgeting with her hair. "Hey, what's up with you?" I asked.
"I'm asking Nerris out..." She mumbled. I blinked a few times before processing what she said.
"Aww, really? How long have you liked her?" I smiled, happy that Nikki was finally telling me who she liked.
"Since we were hanging out before you came. I'd play Dungeons and Dragons with her every so often," She shifted her standing position.
"That's fricking adorable. Okay, how and when do you want to do it?" I stood up and ran a hand through my hair. The fight between Max, Harrison and I still plagued my thoughts, but I needed to get my mind off of it. Nikki and I left the tent and just walked around the forest talking. Guess who we came across? No, not Magic Boy. Nerris.
"Oh, uh, hey- er, Greetings Nerris the Cute," Nikki said, waving to the small girl.
"Greetings, Nikki the Adventurous! Have you come looking for potion ingredients?" Nerris asked, smiling. The sun bounced off her braces and I swear I went temporarily blind.
"Actually, I was looking for you!" Nikki was back to her bouncy, always excited self. I grinned slightly and backed away to lean on a tree.
"Why have you been looking for me? Did the Evil Warlock infiltrate my castle again?!" Nerris freaked out.
"No, Nerris. I wanted to tell you I liked you," Nikki held Nerris's shoulders.
"I like you too!" Nerris exclaimed, clearly not getting it. Nikki laughed a bit, her face red and I could see tears welling up in her eyes.
"N-No, Nerris. I like-like you! And, I get it if you don't like me back... I-It's weird for your friend th-that's a girl, j-just to come up to you and say they like you, even i-if you might not like girls... I-I know," Nikki had tears streaming down her face now. I've never seen her like that.
"Nikki..." I whispered. Nerris looked shocked for a minute, but she quickly covered it up, seeing that Nikki would take it the wrong way.
"I-I'm sorry," Nikki gave Nerris a fake smile and wiped tears away from her eyes and looking down. "I'll be fine."
"No, Nikki, you won't, and I can see that," Nerris said loudly. "It's fine that you like me, because... because I like you too!"
"What?" Nikki looked at Nerris. "Y-You like me, too?"
"Come on, let's go play some Dungeons and Dragons!" Nerris grabbed Nikki's hand and pulled her back towards the camp.
"Aw, that's adorable! I've always shipped the two of them," I smiled, walking over to a log and sitting down on it. "Nerriki away, I guess!" But still, even with everyone's happiness, Max and Harrison's fight still gave me a bitter taste in my mouth, and I couldn't stop replaying the scene in my head.
