Chapter 7

When she woke up all she could smell was spices and herbs. She looked around the room which was white in colour. She was lying on a bed but as soon as she tried to stand ,she was in a cage.
"You shouldn't try to stand, the cage will show, "said a woman's voice. Amayra looked up to see a woman wearing a cloak.
"What do you want? "asked Amayra.
"I want him to come and find you, "said the woman.
"Who? "asked Amayra.
"Don't act stupid with me. You are going to make sure he comes here in Oakland otherwise, I will kill the human race myself, "warned the woman.
"I don't know who you are talking about. Who are you? "asked Amayra frustrated. The woman removed the cloak. Half of her face was snake and other human.
Amayra screamed and opened her eyes. Another nightmare .Mrs Aldenmore was sleeping right next to her as she held her scared daughter brushing her.
"It was just a nightmare, I'm here sweetheart, "said Mrs Aldenmore a sob threatening to come out. Ever since the Fairy King's party, Amayra has been having nightmares. First time, she walk up panting about some monsters she saw in her dreams that were being controlled by some woman. Secondly she thrashed on her bed while sleeping, woke up crying and told them that the woman wants her dead. Yet again she told them about monsters they have never heard about.
Now they were more worried. Third time she screamed only once and never moved again. Mrs Aldenmore called a witch doctor who paled as soon after she touched Amayra. The poor witch doctor left in a hurry without explaining. All these nightmares happened in the morning but this time this one happened in the middle of the night.
"Is she going to be okay? "asked Eva holding tears. When their sister is this much scared, it got them worried. She was never scared at all.
"I wish I knew what was going on with her, "said Mrs Aldenmore brushing the sleepy Amayra.
"I'm scared, "shook Amayra.
"Ams just be strong, "said Adela brushing her head.

"Your Majesty! Your Majesty! "shouted one of the guardians before walking in.
"Speak, "said King Azarioth.
"She's here, "said the Guardian and Viola walked in. The guards who were about to attack turned to stone.
"I come in peace, "said Viola. She was beautiful indeed. Her green long hair was striking and olive eyes were something else.
"Who summoned you here? "asked King Azarioth.
"A fairy. Give me what I want and I will leave you alone, "said Viola smiling.
"I'm not going to do that, "said King Azarioth .
"See you on Mountains of Hell, tonight, "grinned Viola disappearing. King Azarioth just huffed in annoyance.
"Go check those mountains, "demanded King Azarioth. He wanted so bad to go to back to Amayra but he couldn't risk it at all.

"Don't worry I will be back soon, "said Amayra.
"That's why we are not even saying goodbye, "said Eva.
"Yaya I can't believe you are leaving me so soon. I just saw you grow yesterday, "said Ella feigning hurt. They all laughed.
"Ams bring some goodies, "said Adela.
"Fruit, "said Eva. Mrs Aldenmore just looked at her girls laughing.
"Mama don't we have what they asking for? "asked Amayra laughing.
"We do, they are being dramatic, "said Mrs Aldenmore.
"Be back soon, "said Amayra walking to the carriage. The guards bowed for her. She found Daniel sitting in the carriage.
"Hello to you too, "said Daniel.
"Nothing is ever going to change Daniel ,"said Amayra.
"I'm sorry, "said Daniel.
"Do me one thing. Go to the palace's prison and check all prisoners who have been there for the past five years. After that come to me, "said Amayra.
"Who is there? "asked Daniel but was met with silence.
They arrived in the palace still not talking. A maid showed Amayra her bedroom .
"Bring my supper here, "said Amayra.
"As you wish, My Lady, "bowed the maid and left. Amayra went to the balcony watching the sun set. She looked at the necklace only to find writings on it. When she looked closer, she smiled to herself. Her bedroom door flew open revealing a furious Daniel.
"Why would he do that? Worse I believed him, "said Daniel angrily.
"You saw him? Is he okay? "asked Amayra.
"He's being treated nicely, all thanks to my mother. Now I know where my mother spent her time. What kind of a son am I? "asked Daniel.
"You believed that your father was a good man, El, "said Amayra.
"You still call me El,"Daniel smiled weakly. "What went wrong? "
"We used to be best of friends, inseparable but you let the idea of becoming a powerful Emperor get in your head, "said Amayra holding her head.
"Are you okay? "asked Daniel.
"Pain-aaaaah, "groaned Amayra.
"I will be right back, "said Daniel. As soon as Daniel left, her body moved by itself. Amayra tried going back but her body moved forward.
"Where are you taking me? "asked Amayra knowingly.
"To death, "said a voice in her head.
"Where are you going? "asked Daniel.
"Someone is controlling me El. Please help me, "cried Amayra. Daniel held her but she was undeniable strong as she pushed him out of the way.
"Mother! "shouted Daniel. The Empress showed up in her nightgown.
"What is going on? "asked the Empress.
"She's being controlled, "said Daniel following Amayra.
"Guards go get her family! "said the Empress running after them. On the way to nowhere they tried making conversations with her as she trembled in fear and cold. For one hour and half they walked. Then Amayra stood on the edge of the mountain, the highest mountain ever living.
"Please leave my daughter alone! "shouted Mrs Aldenmore. They tried getting close but something blocked them.
"Bring him to me! "snapped the voice as Amayra moved to the edge.
Amayra looked down and immediately knew she would die before she even reach the ground. 'You are my only weakness. If something were to happen to you, I would die. Please promise me when you don't feel safe, you will think about me. Whenever I am, I will come for you' the words rang in her head. She closed her eyes and repeated in her head,"Please hear me Azarioth if that's your name. I need you, please I need you. "Amayra cried as she finished her inner prayer.
"Looks like she don't have what I want, "said the woman coming out of Amayra's body as a shadow and pushed her. Everyone screamed along with Amayra as she went down. The woman disappeared as soon.
"My baby, "sobbed Mrs Aldenmore along with the girls. Daniel stood there, tears rolling down on his cheeks while comforting his mother. Then he gasped 
"What the hell?"asked Daniel shocked. Everyone looked at what stood there and also gasped. Fairy King with Amayra in his arms. He walked towards them slowly. He helped her stand, her mother hugged her before she could fall.
"I'm okay Mama, "said Amayra trembling.
"You scared us, "said Ella.
"I thought you were gone, "said Eva.
"I can never die, "said Amayra chuckling.
"Immortal, "said Daniel hugging her.
"So what are we suppose to do with the Fairy King? "whispered Adela and everyone looked at him then looked at each other.
"How did he know? "asked Daniel.
"I called him, he said I would be able to get to him anytime, "said Amayra.
"Awee sweet, "all the girls said.
"I'm missing something here, "said Daniel.
"Mama say thank you to him, "said Ella.
"He's scary, "said Mrs Aldenmore.
"Empress? "said Adela.
"Not me, "said the Empress. Amayra just turned around and looked at him. Wow! The moonlight was shining just perfectly on him, making him more beautiful. King Azarioth smiled softly at her. Amayra walked towards him hesitating.
"As you can see, they are scared to even say thank you, "said Amayra.
"We never said that, "said Eva.
"And you are not scared? "grinned King Azarioth.
"Well not really, my crazy mind just reminded me of what happened the last time we saw each other, "groaned Amayra.
"What happened? They have met before? "asked Daniel confused.
"We are about to find out, "said Ella.
"That's a good question. What are you talking about? The necklace? "smirked King Azarioth.
"Jerk, "said Amayra. Everyone stood there shocked.
"Come here, "said King Azarioth. Amayra ran to his arms and jumped to them.
"Thank you so much, "said Amayra .
"Like I said, anytime, "said King Azarioth. Amayra started sniffling. "Shhh, you are okay. I'm not going to let anything happen to you ever again. "
"I was so scared, "said Amayra sniffling.
"I'm here and I am not going anywhere, "said King Azarioth. Everyone stared at them still shocked. Wait the Fairy King is nice? Everybody started coughing. Amayra let go of King Azarioth and looked at everyone. She took hold of his wing and covered her face. King Azarioth laughed at her.
"You are an arse, Az, "said Amayra slightly hitting him.
"You can always ask to see it, "smirked King Azarioth causing everyone to laugh.
"Azarioth! "said Amayra and King Azarioth froze.
"My name, "said King Azarioth. Why was it that he liked the way it rolled on her soft lips.
"Duhh, "said Amayra.
"You are so rude, considering I just saved your little adorable arse, "said King Azarioth grinning. Everyone just bust out laughing. Amayra stood there shocked and surprised. Then she did the worst, sniffling sadly. King Azarioth turned around so fast when he heard that. "No, no, no, I'm sorry. Please don't cry again, it breaks my heart seeing you cry. "Amayra grinned.
"Serves you right, "said Amayra sticking her tongue out
"I will bite it, "said King Azarioth growling with his teeth showing.
"So as I was saying. This is my mother, Valeria, my twin sisters Eva and Ella, my best friend Adela, the Emperor's son and also my best friend,Daniel and lastly the Empress herself, Letitia .Everybody this is His Grace, His Jerk,His Highness, His Majestic dark fairy with black eyes, strange hair, Fury King Azarioth, "said Amayra and everyone just laughed.
"Nice to meet you all ladies and gentleman, "said King Azarioth kissing the ladies' hands.
"He's a charmer too, "grinned Mrs Aldenmore.
"Soft hands, "giggled Adela.
"He smells good, "said Eva and Ella.
"He's a gentleman ,"said the Empress.
"As Ayra seemingly like to exaggerate ,I will introduce you myself .I'm the Fairy King Az, "said King Azarioth.
"Az? "asked Eva.
"Aza-, "Amayra didn't finish at all.
"My full name cannot be used by anyone except her and my parents and brother and sister, "said King Azarioth.
"He has a brother? "asked Adela grinning.
"Hercules will kill you, Ad don't even say it, "said Ella.
"Is your brother sweet as you? "asked Adela.
"Isaiah is an arse literally. He almost killed me because I asked if he could help me, arse, "said Amayra annoyed. Everyone looked at her shocked. "What? "
"What were you doing there? "asked Mrs Aldenmore.
"Umm Az help me, "said Amayra hiding behind him.
"She slapped me and ran. She can run for a girl, "said King Azarioth.
"She's still in one piece? "asked Eva not even daring coming close.
"I was angry she slapped me but I saw my brother about to kill her .Plus I cannot kill her cause I would die, "said King Azarioth. Amayra moved in front of him and smiled at him.
"Ohh so we are stringed together? "smirked Amayra.
"Oh no she's up to no good, "said Ella.
"Whatever you are going to do, make sure I won't kill you, "said King Azarioth.
"Yet that would be committing suicide, "smirked Amayra.
"She's good, "said Daniel but the glare King Azarioth sent his got him shrinking. Everyone noticed that as they looked between the two men.
"And then? "asked Ella.
"He was going to be your husband, "said King Azarioth.
"I know but not anymore, "said Amayra.
"Did you know that he's really in love with you? "asked King Azarioth and everyone stood there shocked except Amayra who looked uncomfortable. "You know." Everyone stared at Amayra shocked but her reaction gave it all that she knows.
"You didn't bother even telling us? "asked Mrs Aldenmore.
"What was I suppose to do? I was confused too, "said Amayra frustrated.
"Which part confused you? The fact he was your first kiss? Or the fact you had a crush on him? "asked King Azarioth angrily. Everyone just stood there shocked and surprised by the revelation. Amayra's eyes went wide open in shock. What did she expect? He's a magical king.
"Ams is everything he says true? You could have just told us ,"said Adela.
"Why does it matter anyway? Yes we kissed and I had a crush on him. He told me he's in love with me and I was happy. Only proposal that I didn't want was marriage, I'm not ready, "said Amayra sitting down.
"So you do still like him? You just want him to wait for sometime to drop the marriage proposal. I have a kingdom to run, "said King Azarioth and turned.
"Azarioth you can't do that,"said Amayra.
"I can Amayra unlike you. What do you want Amayra Aldenmore? You can be normal and marry him if you want but I won't be around to watch, "said King Azarioth.
"That's unfair though. In Civita you have a lover waiting for you, "said Amayra annoyed.
"But I made it clear who I want Amayra. So while you make your mind up, I will be busy making sure you are safe, "said King Azarioth as he turned.
"But why Az? Why does this bother you? Why are you angry at me? What is it that you are not telling me? "pleaded Amayra.
"It was love at first sight plus the gods made you my soulmate. I loved you the very first time I saw you and I still love you now, "said King Azarioth and flew up. Amayra looked at him shocked .
"Running away is not going to help you Azarioth! Azarioth! "shouted Amayra and stormed off leaving everybody else standing there shocked.

Whoa that didn't go well 😨😱who thought this would happen between them. 😨😨
