Like the title said I can't sleep so here have shipping. I am really sorry that I butcher these beautiful bois personalitys but I suck at writing qwp oh and sorry no feels here, I just was listening to that song while making this :>
Dib could not sleep. He didn't know why, he just couldn't. He tried almost everything (for example taking a melatonin tablet, & listening to relaxing music, ETC). He was just about to ram his head in his pillow a couple more times when his phone dinged.
Let's just say zim has a phone :>
Zim: I can't sleep. What about you?
Why Zim would text Dib was beyond Dib's understanding, but also Dib thought that well, Zim didn't sleep. Dib always thought Zim didn't need sleep.
Dib: same
*insert clever transition to Zim ;0*
Zim didn't truly know how to respond. I mean he didn't really expect the dib-stink to respond because first it was midnight and 2nd because well....ok well I don't have a 2nd reason off the top of my head.
Zim: why?
Dib: why yourself
Zim: touché
And that's all folks. Bye ;)
No wait I am sorry. Don't leave yet
Dib: so why are you texting me. Don't say that you wanted to know if I was having trouble sleeping because I know that's not the real reason.
Zim: I was wondering if you could open your window
Dib read the text, confused, but then turned to his window. Dib crawled over to his window, opened it, and looked down. And low and behold Zim was there underneath the window. "Z-Zim!? Why are you here?" Zim rolled his eyes and replayed "I couldn't sleep."
Dib was dumbfounded. Why come here?
"So can I come in?" Dib was knocked out of his thoughts by Zim's question.
"Oh um yeah I guess." Dib moved back from his window and halfway got off his bed before hearing Zim crashing through the window and landing, face first on his bed.
"So um why did you come over? At midnight might I add." Dib asked, his knees tucked under his chin.
"Huh oh well Zim could not sleep and was bored so" Zim replayed, his head held high.
"Oh. Well sorry Zim but I can't entertain you. I need sleep." Dib shifted so he was sitting up with his legs tucked under him.
"Wait, Dib-human. Here I will help you sleep if you help me sleep. Like the human saying." Dib tilted his head "um I guess that works but I don't get how we could help each other sleep."
Zim scoffed slightly and replied "my mere precess is enough to calm you and I guess yours is....adequate."
Dib thought about was was just uttered and replied "um ok? Well where will you sleep then?" Zim looked around the room for a moment before patting the spot he was in ( on Dib's bed mind you)
"Here" Dib flushed a bit before replying "well I sleep here so."
"We could divide the bed." Zim quickly retorted. Dib was dumbstruck "um I guess that works" so the two divided up the bed and later down to sleep.
"Well good night Zim" Dib called dover his shoulder.
"Night Human stink beast." Zim replied over his own shoulder.
Insert time skip
It was around 5:00 AM. The blanket that divided the bed was moved aside and Zim had his face buried in Dib's shoulder, his arms wrapped tightly around Dib's waist.
