Scars

I was playing with the idea of having someone break their jaw and this happened.

Now even though all the crap Dib Membrane went through, the male had almost no scars. Almost. He did have one, one small one on his right cheek, in the middle of where his mouth was and where his jaw started.
How he got it was not all that interesting. He was after Zim again but he lost his footing and fell off wherever he was and landed on a bad spot, fracturing his jaw to the point a tiny bit of the bone was showing.

Dib wanted to scream, letting out how much absolute horrid pain he was feeling, but he couldn't because his throat quickly went raw and his tears choked down any screams he had. He tried to get up but it was clear that he broke his leg, where, dib was not sure. He couldn't even bring himself to move his hand close to his face for a searing pain hit him and humongous waves.

Zim just looked down upon him, laughing, not knowing how badly hurt his mortal enemy was.
"Ha! Just one trip can bring a pitiful human like yourself down? If I knew how weak you were-"

But Zim's words were cut off when finally Dib could choke out a pitiful wimpier, even more pain shooting from the whole right side of his face. His head throbbed and his glasses right lenses was shattered. Zim finally noticed a bit of the damage and went to check on Dib, something strong in his chest telling him to do so.

"Are human bones supposed to do that?" Asked Zim as he pointed to the tiny bit of crimson stained bone sticking out of Dib's cheek.

Dib was in to much pain to say no or even shake his head so he stayed unresponsive, tears pouring from his eyes and running down his cheeks, making his wound sting a little for it was literally putting salt in the wound. (Hey uh you guys most likely know this but um just in case you don't  tears do have salt in them :>)

Zim huffed, angered a little by Dib's silence, why would a pitiful human like Dib DARE to stay silent when the great and powerful (Trixie! Ok I will stop) Zim was offering help! Zim annoyingly looked to Dib, who returned the look.

Then Zim understood that Dib, his mortal enemy, was not just in pain but he was scared. Scared why, Zim did not know maybe finally his mere presence scared the human.

Another small whimper pulled Zim from his thoughts, Dib had lookin down and was now trying to hold back another rush of tears. Small sounds were heard as he tried to hold back the sobs, whimpering a little, trying not to scream from the pain.

Zim cocked his head a little and said "why are you making those pitiful sounds human! You look fine. All you need is to clean your face."

Dib snapped his head to look at the Irken, he could not understand how Zim could not figure out the weight of the situation.

Soon the human decided to test his jaw, see if he could talk, but once he started to lift his bottom jaw a searing pain rushed through him and it took all his might to not scream in agony.

Finally realization hit Zim like a bullet train. "Wait, wait. You are ACTUALLY hurt!? I thought this was another of your sicks jokes."

Dib looked to Zim, his right hand hovering over his right cheek. "Well this is no good, I certainly don't deserve a mortal enemy who is broken. Here, I take you to my lab and fix you up, then we can go back to killing each other." Zim said all of this like it was some set back in a game.

Dib looked at the Irken in confusion, his mind racing. Was all of this, their rivalry, a-a Game!? No it couldn't be true, could it?

Then, if on cue, the Hyman's vision started to swim, his eyes felt heavy and his head felt light. Then he passed out.

Timeskip brought to you by Zim bringing Dib to the lab. How? Don't ask.

Dib woke up to the sound of a TV playing. Where was he? Dib slightly opened his eyes to see Gir sitting in front of him, watching some brainless kid show. The human shook his head slightly and tried to open his mouth to speak, but he failed for something was stopping him from opening his mouth.

Gir somehow noticed this and chirped "Mastah said that I need to tell you that you can't open your mouth. It will hurt your jaw."

Dib threw his head back on the pillow it was resting on, this was going to be a long month.

Timeskip brought to you by Dib healing :>

The past month had been quite eventful. The first thing that was weird was how Zim's attitude somehow changed. Instead of being the confident loathsome Irken he usually was, he was more understanding and patient. He actually acted nice to Dib through the majority of the month. Sure there was some times were Zim went off with how great he is and such like that, with Dib having no choice but to listen, but when that happened, Dib couldn't help but enjoy it. He liked how Zim was acting now and wished this was a permanent switch.

The second thing was how his dad and sister didn't care or ask why he was gone. Like they just assumed he died or something. This made Dib to rarely feel like he couldn't keep in the tears anymore, so he would curl up in the blankets he had, covering his face, and cry in his hands for a while. Usually afterwords he felt a bit better though so it was a start.

But the most weirdest thing was when he was talking to Gir. Dib couldn't even remember what they were talking about, but it somehow got to the topic of Zim. Most of the conversation was lighthearted and friendly, making the occasional joke, but somewhere along the way of talking about Zim Dib asked a question.

"I was wondering, and its fine if you don't know, but do you know why Zim is being so nice to me?" (Oh I forgot to mention that Dib is using a whiteboard to talk :>)

Gir replayed "Oh that's because Mastuh likes you."

Dib's face flushed, he had no words. I mean he did also kinda maybe like the alien back but still.

Hey I am making this a two parter since I want to get this out and yeah. :> next part will be more feels and fluff related.

Hope you enjoy this.
