"And in the end
I only regret the chances I didn't take
and the ones that led me nowhere
They might say that that's okay but I think not.
I think life is beautiful
I think you never understood me."

She looked in his eyes and saw her reflection through him, clear.
She was plain... What did he see in her?
She wasn't as pretty as the ones that liked him
She wasn't special
She was simple
If really she was his world, why did she only see a reflection of her simple self when she turned to look at him or at the mirror.

Why wasn't she wearing a crown on her head if she really was a queen?

He looked her back straight in her deep shade of blue eyes,
His gem, his happiness
His reflection of perfection

How he wanted to give her the world,
Yet he could tell she wasn't ready
He had not convinced her
She still thinks she's a chapter in his book

He wanted her to be the whole book
He wanted her to be the start and end
He would delete every character to make her the main one
He would abandon his fairy tale just to be the prince in hers

Yet he didn't say anything
He looked at her and smiled
Then he looked up to the sky
It dawned on him
She was like the moon

The moon might not think itself as important as the sun or as pretty as the stars
But it's light will be needed at the darkest of times.
The luminescence of it sought by people who are lonely and its absence felt by everyone

She was his moon
Not appreciated enough by people but his whole world was lit by her .
