chapter 18: the results

Nadine's POV

-next day-
"Carter stop." I say laughing. "Tell me you are sorry for pouring flower on me." He tickled me. "Ok okay" I say as he stops tickling me and pins me down. "I Nadine Marie Johnson apologize to you Carter Ray Winter for pouring pancake flour on you." I say as he helps me off the ground. We were dating for over 6 years now and we were at his house being that he is the alpha of our red herring pack. "I'll accept your apology on two conditions." He says making me whine. "What do you want now?" He shakes his head. "First kiss me." He said being goofy. "Okay." I kissed him and he returns the kiss with just as much passion. "Okay now what?" I say as he pulls something out of his pocket. "Now the second thing I want you to do is marry me." He said making me gasp as he pulls out a beautiful Jade engagement ring. "Nadine Marie Johnson I may look like an idiot being that I still have pancake flour on my head and body," he joked. "But I love you so much it would hurt me to see my mate leave me so I want to have you not only as my mate but also as my wife and this packs luna." He said he looked up at me. "So will you marry me?" I cried from happiness. "Yes I'll marry you Carter." I kiss him happily as he slipped the ring on my finger. "I love you." I smiled at him. "I love you too baby girl, so wake up." He said confusing me. "What?" "Wake up Nadine. Wake up."
I woke up realizing that it was all a dream.
"Finally you're up." Kelly says. "You need to get up so we do the testing on you." She says leaving the room I was in. After 20 minutes of preparing myself for testing. I walked out of the room just to see Kelly's mate. "Hi there future Luna," he says. "I'm here to bring you to the testing center." I nod as he leads me out to a really small looking building. "head right in." He opens a brass door that opens to a very large room which has a lot of needles and other testing things which made me whimper in fear. "Is all this necessary for testing?" He ignored me and grabbed a small box which had a lot of things in it by the sounds of it. "Theo you can come in now." He said just as Mr. I mean Theodore came out. "Hello beautiful. Don't worry I will be here with you the whole time." He said as we began testing. 35 minutes later after all the horrendous time testing me and my abilities, Theo and I left the room and waited in some room for results. "Are you okay?" Theo caresses my cheek with a hand. "I don't know." I say truthfully. "What happens if I am an alpha. I never knew my actual parents so." I put my hands on my face. "It's okay love, alpha or not I still love you." He says just as Kelly's mate comes in the room. "Well the results are here." Casper hands me the results. "Here goes nothing." I open the envelope and began reading the results which shock me. "Love are you okay?" I hear their say. "I can't believe it. I'm the child of an alpha." Casper speaks up. "That means that you're the child of Jackson and Melissa Terrance just as I thought you were." I look at him. "Your real parents are still alive." He tells me. "Well where are they?" I say getting up. "They're in this pack of course they're the counsel pack leaders but out of town right now."Casper says.
