Behind Rejection

Chapter 2

"And why is that?" I asked him with a bold tone of voice

"It's not like we're gonna be friends or something" can't you believe what this guy's saying?

"What? Are you assuming that we'll be out of the stranger zone?"

He came closely, lowered his body and said, "I know where will this start"

"Ok fine!" I left him like I was throwing tantrum. I walked and saw him far away laughing. I have a great vision from far away that's why I can see how he makes fun of me. Now, where will I go? I have no idea, I can't go to the coffee shop and spend my night there. I have saved money but this won't even last days. Meeee~ whatever. I'll go to the karaoke bar.

This is my life, always alone. This is how single I am. I didn't even experience dating my ex-boyfriend, we just had short time together and all he did was to flirt with me and didn't hear a word I say. I hate men being clingy, I hate men flirting. It's disgusting. But, sometimes, I wanted to feel like someone to listen to my vents, to my rants, to my stupid words. I never had a serious relationship and since men hate me first, I started to hate them for making girls go crazy and then when they don't feel the chemistry anymore, they will live. Those are my thoughts while singing at the karaoke bar alone while drinking beer.

"Ma'am? Ma'am?"

"Hmm?" 

"We're about to close"

"Whut-?"

"We're closing?"

"Oh ye~sh! YES!" I just dialed a random number on my phone and said, "Hey you! Pic-ck me-me up he-ere in the ba-r"

"Hey wake up!"

"Huh?"

"Are you always drunk?"

"Shhh, I'm trying to sleep"

"Are you crazy? You told me that you are in the night shift, why did you end up in the karaoke bar?"

Uh-oh, It's over, I will not live my life freely again. 

"Huh? Keep your voice down, I was having a wonderful dream until you start to talk like a noisy chicken."

She spunk my butt and told me, "Look, we're already grown up, it's not like I'm gonna tell your dad about you not having a job, just tell me honestly if you really have a job."

"I got fired"

"What?"

"My boss didn't want me, she said I'm always late, I lack at everything and she hates me, so she fired me, happy now?"

"I'm so sorry, I don't think you deserve that job either"

"If you're here to mock me, get out"

"No, I mean, that isn't what you want right? You could be so much more"

"Thank you, I just want to live a healthy life"

"Then hurry up and find another job! If you wanna be a vlogger and be rich, you have to earn it first! Did you buy a camera yet?"

"My money is gone, thanks to that gorilla boss who looks like she just came out of the zoo and threw tantrums at the company"

"Hmm, well, here's a deal, I buy you a camera, repay me if you get a job"

"You know what, I can handle myself, no thank you"

After searching for a job, I ended up having 2 part-time job as a librarian in the morning, a service crew at night. Never had this frustrating job before but at least my bosses aren't as rude as that gorilla. Besides, I've always wanted to shut people's mouth when they are too loud, I belong here in the library, for a while and the coffee shop in my other part-time gives me at least 1 hour coffee break with free iced mocha and glazed doughnut once in 3 days.
