"Grace!" Yelled a familiar voice. I look back and see my best friend since fourth grade come rushing towards me.
"Josephine!" I say.
"I haven't seen you for months!"
"I know! It's sad actually."
"It is sad, well we better get to homeroom, you know how Mrs Hutch is."

"Okay class, today we are going to learn about self control. You will be having a test on self control if you keep talking Ms V and Ms Clarr." We stop talking because we know Mrs Hutch can be mean to kids she catches smoking and drinking, and yes we are "those kids."
"Thank you, now moving on..."

"Hey did you fall asleep in Mrs Hutch's class today?" I ask Josephine during lunch.
"Yes, again, but she's so old she doesn't even notice, and as long as I get a good grade I really don't care. I silently agree with her.

Me and Josephine go outside, I pull out my purse and I take out two cigarettes and give one to Joseohine... At the end of the day I walk home, I'm about a block away from my house when I hear a loud BOOM! And a person scream. Gunshot I think to myself and sprint home. I unlock the door as fast as I can and lock it when I get inside.
"MOM!" I yell. No answer.
"DAD!" No answer. I'm starting to get really scared now soon call 911 even though the police were already on the case. After I hang up the phone I call my Mom, she doesn't pick up. I call my Dad, he doesn't pick up. I call my older brother Jack, he isn't picking up. My last hope is my brothers wife Trisha, still no one answers the phone. I'm scared out of my mind and the only thing I can think of to do is turn off my ringer in case somebody's in the house and hide somewhere no one can find me.
