I run down into the basement and climb into the crawl space in the very back there's a ladder leading up to the attic. I pull the blinds down on the only small window and move my families holiday decoration boxes in the crawl space, so if anyone tries to get in, it will be harder for them.
When I'm done I climb the ladder into the attic and go to the furthest corner from the bolted ladder. I pull out my phone and text Josephine.

G: hey did u hear a gunshot I click send and instantly get a reply.
J: yes
G: r u scared
J: a little ya she answers
G: my parents aren't home and they won't pick up they're phones not even Jack or Trisha I respond
J: when I got home my mom rushed me to my room told me to pick the door and hide in my closet right after I hear a noise coming from the crawl space. I quickly turn off my phone and curl up in a tiny ball and pretend like nothing's here. I wait about 5 minutes but it feels like an eternity has passed. I get the courage to look up. I don't believe what I see. My mom is pointing a gun straight at me....
