Chapter 1

Under Editing

"Okay, I'm off then."

Here I was standing at the airport in New York City. A huge coat hugged my body tightly as a scarf covered my face from the harsh, cold December wind. My feet moved forward as the time came to board the plane. I was quick to find my seat. Placing my suitcase above the seat, I shut the case that held mine, and the passenger beside me. Sitting down, I exhaled heavily.

"Rough day?"

Turning I met a pair of bright green eyes, a huge smile and ginger hair.

Smiling I shook my head.

"Nah, I'm actually pretty happy today!"

Shaking his head, he stuck his hand out.

"I'm Ed."

I could clearly hear the deep British accent. Taking his hand in mine, I spoke back to him.

"I'm Alexis."

"Alexis? Love the name. It's very pretty. Let me guess.. your friends call you lexi?"

Laughing my head moved slowly up and down.

"Yeah.. Was it that easy?"

Chuckling he just grinned.

"Passenger, we are now ready to take off. Please buckle your seat belts and stay seated. Thank you."

Ed and I buckled at the same time. We began to giggle like five years olds. As we took of Ed got comfortable as did I.

"So."

He breathed out.

"What brings you to London."

Meeting his eyes I shrugged.

"We'll my sister moved to London almost two to three years ago. So I thought I'd come and spend sometime with her. Haven't seen her in a while."

Sticking his bottom lip out a bit more he shrugged.

"Make sense."

Looking I noticed he had a red sweater on over a black one. Also wearing thick blue jeans.

"Aren't you hot?"

Eyeing his outfit before eyeing me as if I was crazy he shook his head.

"You must not know how cold London gets."

Raising a brow I shook my head negatively.

"I guess not."

The next hour went by fast. Ed and I talk a lot about the sights in New York. Then it kinda of hit me.

"Ed?"

Looking up from his phone, his eyes met mine.

"Yes?"

Swallowing a little I mumbled.

"What where you doing in New York in the first place?"

I watched his body tense a little but relaxed after a bit.

"I needed to get away.. A little problem happen and I needed a brake."

Shaking my head I made an "oh" come out shaping my lips into an o.

Finally we had landed. As we got off, I said my goodbyes to Ed. As he did to me. But before he got far away from me he yelled.

"Alexis!"

Turning he was a bit of ways away.

"Yeah?"
