Chapter 10

Back to the Avenger Tower

It was nearly 5 PM when the three teens finally arrived home, they were all carrying huge bags of books, clothes, and accessories to fill their room with. They were all loudly discussing a weird subject that Sam had brought up.

"If humans evolved from lizards it would totally solve world hunger cause we could cut off our tails and grill them up for food!" Peter argued

"Yeah, but it would hurt, not to mention that's cannibalistic," Eli argued back.

"Who cares, think about this, lizards can't feel the cold but when it is cold they move much slower, sssoooooo a lizard weatherman would totally be like, 'Be sure to throw on a sweater if you're headed outside! It sure is slow out there!'" Sam grinned at the two of them as she walked through the living room, she was about to toss her bags onto the couch until she saw a familiar head of black hair and realized that none other then Loki was sitting on their couch, probably waiting for them. Sam threw the bags onto the couch anyways.

"Sup Tinkerbell." Sam grinned at him.

Loki huffed and pushed the bags of merchandise off of him as he stood up and wiped his clothes off. "Tinkerbell?"

Sam shrugged, "I dunno, you both use magic, Eli? Any great nicknames for our freakishly tall dude over here?" She rested her arm on Loki's shoulder, though it looked incredibly awkward with how tall Loki was and how short Sam was.

Peter was still eyeing Loki as he dropped his bags onto the ground. "Aren't you the guy that- that tried to take over the world?" He asked cautiously.

Loki smirked at Peter, causing a shiver to run down Peters' spine. "I am."

"Then why are you not in a cage? Sam why is he not in a cage? Eli?" He backed up slightly.

"It's fine, he's just here for something I think," Eli assured Peter. "He's not gonna blow up the world with the Avengers up his ass constantly." She grinned.

Peter smiled slightly, he assumed Eli was probably right, he wasn't going to blow up the world or do anything bad while the Avengers were around. All three of the kids were certain of this until a muffled 'boom' sounded from underneath them and the entire building shook.

The elevator door opened and Steve and Bucky ran through, in their full superhero suits.

"The tower is under attack and Zemo escaped. Get to the lab!" Steve yelled, the glass window behind them suddenly shattered and agents swung into the room, they fired at everyone but Steve and Bucky jumped in front of them, blocking the bullets with their shield and arm.

Peter grabbed the closest person to him which was Eli and he pulled her into the elevator.

Sam tried to grab her books but she was yanked back suddenly as Loki grabbed her by her shoulders and roughly dragged her into the elevator.

"We'll catch up!" Steve promised just as the doors closed.

The elevator moved so fast it nearly made Peter sick as it suddenly opened and they stumbled through.

Shuri was the only one in the lab, Tony was probably outside fighting the attackers off and who knows where Bruce had run off to. Shuri grabbed a pair of glasses sitting on the countertop and threw them to Sam.

"Wear those and press the button here. -2.75 vision right?" The glasses were similar to the ones she was already wearing, a wide black frame with a small golden spade on each side. Shuri pointed to the spade on the left side.

Sam nodded. "Sure."

Shuri then turned to Eli, "You," She pointed to Eli and grabbed two little devices. She walked over to her and placed them in her hand. "Put those in your ear. Press on the right one while it's in your ear and it'll activate. Spider-boy, suit up. And Loki sit the fuck down." Shuri demanded them all before clicking her wrists together, out of her bracelets came two large guns. She winked at them and ran off to help fight.
