The Moonlight cab

Part 14

It's like the walls are caving in. I just want to give up. On my own family. And now, i have to leave them, they'd be better off without me,  How am i supposed to decide this? I love them both, so much, but i'm just in their way. 

"Mrs Adams" Of course i used a fake name, only way i could see Dean.

"That's me" i reply to the doctor standing in front of me.

"He's asking for you." He says

And before i knew it i began to race through the hospital, my lips, tongue and throat dry as i swallowed. I was in the room, with Dean looking at me as if he were staring down the barrel of a gun.

"Hey." I simply say, not wanting to overwhelm him with all my words and questions.

"Hey Sweetheart, Come sit with me" He said softly, just so i could barely hear.

"Dean, i um, i'll miss you, and i love you, but i'll see you soon at the bunker okay?" i said, blinking back the tears.

"Alright sweetie, i'll be home in a few hours okay?"

"Okay, if i'm not in your room, check mine" i said and walked away, letting the tears fall down my face, gripping the letter in my hand, it was 3 pages long. I knew i needed to explain myself and i should, but i couldn't. I hopped into the car, and raced to the bunker, tears still pouring out of my eyes.  I had to leave, Dean couldn't see my scars, I couldn't set them back from saving the world, or set them back into having to protect me on hunts, they should worry about themselves and whoever they're trying to save, not me. Because i'm not the one who should matter in their lives, they are Sam And Dean Winchester, they don't need me added to the load.

I finally arrived at the bunker, and i went up to my room to pack my things. I packed all the money i had which was only $700, but hey being a hunter has it's benefits so it's not like i couldn't steal more off some credit cards. I lay the note down on my bed, left the keys to my car, and grabbed the last beer and a snack from the fridge for my long ride to who knows where. I grabbed my suitcase and called The Moonlight Cab again, who knows where i would end up this time.

"Take me anywhere, anywhere but here." I said quietly

"alright hun, just relax and take a nap, we'll be there shortly" The man driving replied

"alright..." i said drifting off

flashback

"MELLLLLLLLL!!!!" Mom yelled

"YES MOTHER" 

"WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO LUNA'S????"

"UM NOW I GUESS"

"ALRIGHTY SWEETIE, I LOVE YOU"

"I LOVE YOU TOOOOOOO" I yelled back and walked out the front door to sleepover at Luna's, We were inseparable best friends, so i went over for the night, as i did every week, i practically lived over there. We had our usually great sleepover, i mean we were 16 years old so what else was there to do but fangirl. We watched our favorite shows, listened to our favorite bands, read fanfics and this went on for hours. As usual, at 3 am i snuck downstairs with her to grab our secret stash of food, where we kept our chips and candy bars for nights like these. While We were downstairs my phone buzzed quietly. Who would text me this early/late??? 

"Hey Mel, just wanted to let you know, come back at 7." Of course, of all people my mother.

"Alrighty mom, see you in 4 hours." i replied, but didn't receive a text back. She must've passed out by that time. Luna and i slowly grew tired, both of us trying to keep reading our fanfics on our phones. By 5 am we were passed out in our "caves", our fangirl caves, filled with blankets, books and snacks. At 6:55 my alarm went off, which of course Luna didn't wake up to so i left her a note.
