Chapter 19

ETHAN

After Hunter drove off, I knew I lost her.

"Ethan.." Grayson starts, "I'm sorry."

"Gray.." i say before breaking into tears.

I feel a hand on my shoulder, I turn around to see a mad Becky.

"Ethan Grant Dolan." She snaps, "YOU CHEATED ON HUNTER!"

"I fucking know that Becky, I know! I was blackmailed! I couldnt do shit! I was trying to save Hunter from getting hurt, AND YOU!" I yell.

Her cold hand makes contact with my face, a red mark forming. I grab my cheek and stare at her.

"NO ETHAN! YOU WERE ONLY TRYING TO SAVE YOURSELF! That's all! NOW NEVER TRY AND TALK TO HER AGAIN!" Becky yells at me.

"Babe, stop. You don't have to ye-" grayson try's calming her down.

"FUCK OFF!" She yells. She then runs off to her car and speeds down the road.

Meredith comes out of the house, grinning.

"Aww baby, did she hurt you?"

"FUCK OFF MEREDITH, FUCK OFF. THE MORE YOU ENTER MY LIFE, THE MORE YOU RUIN IT! CANT YOU FUCKING LEAVE! NO ONE FUCKING LIKES YOU OKAY, NO ONE! YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!"

She looks taken back by this, but stays cool. I groan and walk to my car with Grayson following behind.

I get in and drive home.

Fuck.

HUNTER

I lay on the couch, staring off into space. I don't know what to do anymore. The boy I left everything for, left me. I run to my room, packing my things.

I told The twins mum and dad I was leaving. That I found a new home.

I packed everything up, finishing off with my backpack. I grab my suitcase and go downstairs. I hear talking.
"Why do you actually think she's leaving?" Lisa asks Sean.
"I don't know."

"Hey guys!" I say, fake smiling.
"Hi darling." Lisa engulfs me into a warm hug.
"I'm sorry I have to leave, but I think it's for the best." I say.

"It's okay, love. You can come anytime I promise. Ethan and Grayson would love to see you. Have you told them you're leaving?"

"Um, y-yeah. I told them."

"Okay, hun. See you later." She says hugging me yet again. Lisa was the perfect mother. Always loving, never hating. Unlike mine. Love you, mum.

I say my goodbyes to Sean and eventually meet my car door. I spill a tear before shaking my head in disappointment; disappointment of Ethan.

I open my door, throwing my bag in the front seat. I move to the back and put my suitcase in the trunk.

I get into the car, starting up the engine.

"Gonna miss this place." I whisper before driving off.

ETHAN

Me and Grayson drive home.
The car ride was silent, not awkward, but not comfortable.

Eventually we arrive at my house, after what felt like hours.

We get greeted by my mum,
"Hey kids, are you okay?"

"Umm, I'm fine. Why you asking?" Grayson laughs.

"Because of Hunter, remember?"

"What do you mean, 'because of hunter'?" I ask.

"She moved."

My jaw drops, "What?!"

"She moved out, she said she found a new house. Didn't she tell you?" My mum says, clearly confused.

"She DIDNT tell me. We fell out. Now she's gone. FUCK ME!" I yell, storming around the kitchen.

"E, calm down." Grayson says.

"NO! SHUT THE FUCK UP OKAY! IVE LOST HER, AND I AINT GETTING HER BACK!" I yell.

"LANGUAGE ETHAN! Now, go to your room and sort yourself out!" My mum yells at me.

I storm to my room and slam my door shut.

"FUCK LIFE. FUCK EVERYTHING!" I yell.

HUNTER

I drive to my favourite place in the world, the Castle. It's an abandoned castle, where spirits fly free. It's the place where I'm happy to be alone, to stroll alone, to talk alone, to stand alone.

No one can mess with you.

Many people committed suicide here, but that's not why I'm here. I'm here to show these people that you are your strongest when you are challenged.

The ones who fly solo are the ones that have to strongest wings.
