My Poetspiration

Okay, so, this is, as you may see, not a poem. However, it is about a poet and her poetry. She is the poet who inspired me to start really writing poetry. I hat picked up a little here and there, but it was never really serious.

I don't necessarily want to be a poet or a writer for a living, but I've always been interested in that kind of stuff. So when I saw a book in the poetry section at my local bookstore titled "the princess saves herself in this one," I was like 'aw, yisss, feminism!'

I started reading the book to my mom as soon as we left the bookstore. She was driving and listening while I was reading aloud. I had expected the book to be different, but that doesn't mean it isn't good. Obviously, as I'm writing about how the author is my "poetry inspiration." Poetspiratuon?

The author of the book is Amanda Lovelace, and she is awesome. The poetry book is filled with any kind of poetry you can imagine. Rhyming, shape poetry, freestyle poetry, you name it. This lady is amazing at what she does. If any of you can get your hands on it, I recommend reading that book and her other works. I haven't gotten to read them, because  they are fairly new. I'm going to show you the cover now.

She is just great. So, yeah, that's my whole inspiration, if anyone cares, or if you just want to read some good poetry. Because it is good. You might cry, though. Just a warning.
