I rode on the street
Sitting on my soft pink bicycle
Dubbed Roxie
by a Someone I had never met
Before I had been born
The different scents of semi-suburban nature surrounded me
Viz.: the smell of freshly mown grass,
Lavender flowers, overgrown,
Magnolia flowers,
And a stronger scent, maybe of nature,
Maybe if another source
I did not
And do not know
I went to a different part of nature
This side was all shrubs and fallen branches
And the tallest evergreens you could ever imagine
I could smell their penetratingly strong sap from a mile away
And the leaves of the branches waved in the wind
I reached out to grab a drooping branch
As I rolled past it
The plant was foreign to me
And I wanted to learn more about it
The first thing a learned was that it had thorns
The second: the thorns were quite large

PoetryNo one has to read this. It's not interesting. I don't really think the poems will be very good, either. (NOT EDITED OR CHECKED FOR ANY GRAMMATICAL ERRORS.)
