I had Just made it through third period everyone was heading towards the cafeteria when I just couldn't take it anymore. The rumors everyone was whispering were beyond ridiculous and all the fake niceness I was getting irked my nerves so much. By lunch time I was just done.. I stormed out of the school after snapping at some freshman girl in the hallway.
"Jasmine told me she heard Jamie caught her doing it with his best friend and that's why he was going so fast." I jerked my head in the direction of the squeaky little voice who spoke those words. My nose flared and my blood boiled as I marched my way towards her. "Look here little girl, you need to shut your fucking mouth. My boyfriend just died and all you people can do is spit out fake apologies and outrageous rumors. Do me a favor and quit spreading rumors when you have no idea what happened besides what the news told you. And tell this Jasmine girl I didn't "Do it" with his best friend" I snarled before storming towards the entrance of the school.
I was currently sitting in front of Jamie's grave as tears continuously pooled out of my eyes. "Why'd you leave me Jamie? I cant do this without you... I need you." I whispered as I stared down at his grave. A small pink flower landed in my lap from the soft breeze that was blowing. A smile came across my face as a memory entered my mind.
I was in the middle of studying for a big chemistry test i had the next morning when there was a tapping noise at my window. My eyes widened as I made my way to the window. My boyfriend was holding tightly to a tree as he reached with a loose branch to tap on my window. I quickly opened my window and grabbed his hand to help him in. "What the heck are you doing, Jamie? You could've fallen!" I whispered. He grinned down at me , "I couldn't sleep I wanted to see you." he said slightly loud. "Shh my parents will hear you." He gently pressed his lips against mine while he pulled his left hand from behind his back. "I stole these from your neighbors garden." He whispered with a slight smirk while holding out a hand full of pink azaleas. "How romantic of you" I chuckled while rolling my eyes playfully. I took the flowers from him and put them in a glass of water sitting on my bedside table. "They're beautiful, Thank you." He pulled me against his chest and ran his fingers through my hair. "You're beautiful." He whispered before bringing his lips down on mine. "I love you." I whispered against his lips. He pulled out of the kiss and gave me a cheeky grin. "I love you more, Darling."
I wasn't one to really believe in spirits or ghosts but I knew it wasn't just the wind that blew that flower on my lap. It had been Jamie. I could feel his presence around me. I gently placed the flower in front of his grave, "I love you too." I whispered.
When I entered my house forty minutes later my mom was pacing back and forth in the middle of the living room. Her head shot in my direction and she took in a deep breath before pulling me into a hug. "The school called saying you just stormed out. I didn't know where you were. You had me so worried." After a moment I finally hugged her back, "I'm sorry mama. I was with Jamie....I mean his grave." I mumbled against her shoulder. I had yet to notice the two other people sitting on the couch. I pulled away from my mom to see my brother, Sebastian and..... Kaden??? Kaden was Sebastian's best friend since middle school. I had known him basically my entire life. I hadn't seen him in two years since he left to go to college with Sebastian. What's he doing here?
My brother quickly pulled me into a tight hug, "I'm so sorry Jules. What happened at school? Are you okay." He gave me a worried look. I shook my head and tears immediately filled my eyes. "Do you wanna go talk? Fill me in, Yeah?" I slowly nodded and glanced at Kaden once before following my brother upstairs to my room. It was a little embarrassing for Kaden to see me like this. I'm sure I look like total trash...
I sat on the edge of my bed while Sebastian sat on in a rolling chair right in front of me. "Mom said you blame dad and aren't talking to either of them. What happened exactly?" My bottom lip quivered as the last memory of Jamie entered my mind. I looked down at my hands as I began to explain.
