Halfway Cut - Chapter 5

(Rainbow's POV)

...Dumbbell. Where in the name of Celestia did he come from.

Dumbbell used to go to my old school, why in the world would he be here now?

"D-Dumbbell..?!" I shook and took a step back.

"So now that you have "friend" Rainbow Crash, you think you're all tough, huh?!" Dumbbell said cornering me. I looked over at my friends, they were scared, Applejack was the only one who did something.

"Leave her be." Applejack said calmly.

"Like I'd listen to cowgirl." Dumbbell scoffed.

"I said, LEAVE HER BE." Applejack raised her voice. Dumbbell must have been intimidated, he galloped off.

"Rainbow, are ya alright?" Applejack asked me, without even hesitating I just ran over to her and hugged her. Nopony has ever stood up for me. I knew I was crying, but I was fine.

"T-Thank y-you.. A-AJ.." I was able to say in between small and quiet sobs.

This was the start for a very long friendship.

~Four years later, the mane six are now all together and are 16~

"Haha, told you I'd beat you, AJ." Rainbow laughed. Whenever she was with her best friend, all of her home troubles were washed away. She was so lucky to have Applejack.

"Just 'cause I letchu win." Applejack said trying to make her seem like she was being nice. Rainbow rolled her eyes.

"C'ya tomorrow at Pinkie's party!" Rainbow waved her hoof as she flew up to her home in Cloudsdale, the place she hated the most.

(Rainbow's POV)

I walked into my house, it smelled of beverages I did not want to know about and other unpleasant things. I already knew a beating would be here soon.

"Rainbow, Rainbow, Rainbow, what have I told you about BEING LATE!!?" A loud voice boomed behind me. It wasn't my father.. it was.. his friend.. Soarin...

I wasn't in for it.

"Soarin.. uh.. I.." I wasn't given the chance to speak when he pinned me to a wall.

"PLEASE SOARIN, DON'T!!" I pleaded to be released from what I knew was about to come.

"Shush now, Dash, or you'll be hurt worse." He shouted.

I gave up, I wasn't getting out of this.

"APPLEJACK!!!!" I screamed as loud as possible, hoping AJ was close enough.

"Your little friend can't help you now.." He laughed and pulled out a knife. Stabbed into my right hoof. I screamed in pain as blood dripped to the floor. He began cutting off my left wing. No..

"RAINBOW!?" I heard the voice I wanted to hear.

Applejacks.

"AJ!! AJ!!!!!" I yelled before Soarin covered my mouth.

I kept watching the door, "Please AJ..." I thought.

In a few moments the door fell down. Guess it's handy to have a apple bucking master.

Applejack gasped at what she saw.

She made no hesitations and tackled Soarin to the ground, took the knife from him, and stabbed him dead.

"Rainbow, Rainbow, Rainbow..." Applejack panicked, I was on the floor, bleeding terribly.

"I'm fine.. AJ.."  I say trying to stay strong, which I normally do.

"No. No ya ain't," Applejack said in the most calm and caring voice I have ever heard her talk in.

"My wing.. how.. how bad is it..? Be honest.. AJ.."  I was able to get out. She looked at my wing.

"Halfway cut.."

At the moment, it's passed my electronics curfew and I have to put my laptop away, so this is the last chapter of the day.
