Kade's Day

Kade's Pov:

Today is the first day of the 2 day parenting challenge.

Jake and I were wondering why Chloe and Nathan are always tired at the end of the day so Nathan is putting Jake and I through a parenting challenge.

I woke up this morning at 5 A.M. and ate breakfast.

After finishing my breakfast everyone gets up and comes to the kitchen.

" Alright everyone.... Jake and Kade were wondering why Chloe and I are always tired at the end of the day so they will each take care of both Aubrey and Carter for one day each all while doing their everyday routine. No one is aloud to help them. Reality Ryan will be recording what they do but that footage that Ryan records will NOT be posted and the Aubrey and Carter not being in your Vlogs isn't changing because of this challenge." Nathan tells them

" Is Aubrey aloud to help them?" Nick asks Nathan

" No. I will explain to Aubrey what is happening when she gets up." Nathan tells Nick

" Anymore questions?" Chloe asks

" No. We have been informed." Chance says and he and Anthony go back upstairs to game.

~ 2 hours later ~

After 2 hours of waiting Aubrey woke up at 7 A.M. and came downstairs and ran over to Nathan.

" DADDYYYYYY!!!!!!" Aubrey yells hugging Nathan's legs

" Good morning, Baby girl" Nathan says picking her up in his arms

" Good morning, Brey" I tell Aubrey using her nickname

" Aubrey, Do you want to help me prove Uncle Jake and Uncle Kade wrong?" Nathan asks Aubrey

" Yesss!!!" Aubrey screams nodding her head

" Uncle Kade is going to watch you and Carter all day and then tomorrow Uncle Jake will do it but for us to prove them wrong you can't help them. Do you think you can do that?" Nathan asks Aubrey

" Yes!!!" Aubrey says happily

" That's my girl" Nathan says kissing Aubrey's forehead

Nathan passed Aubrey over to me and left to go film for Jake.

~ 10 minutes later ~

10 minutes into my half of the parenting challenge Chloe walked into the kitchen dressed for work.

" Brey, Mommy has to go to work. Say bye to mommy." I tell Aubrey

Aubrey runs over to Chloe and gives Chloe a big hug.

Chloe walks out of the kitchen into the living room to tell Nathan bye.

I pick Aubrey up and follow Chloe.

Nathan hands Jake his camera and wraps his arms around Chloe's waist.

" Bye Beautiful" Nathan tells Chloe pressing a kiss to her lips

Chloe leaves for work and we continue on with our day.

~ 7 hours later ~

Chloe returns home from work and goes upstairs to get a warm bath.

Chloe comes downstairs in her pajamas.

~ 6 hours later ~

After feeding Aubrey and Carter dinner I go to give Aubrey her bath and Carter his bath.

After Bathing Carter I put in a onesie and put him in his crib.

On my way out of Carter's room I turn on the baby monitors and take one with me downstairs.

I walk downstairs into the living room and see Aubrey laying on Nathan's chest asleep and her favorite blanket covering her up.

" How long has she been like that?" I ask Nathan pointing to Aubrey

" 20 minutes" Nathan tells me

" I am going to go put her in bed" I tell Nathan stepping towards Nathan

" No. Let me do it. If you do it she will most likely wake up. Nathan tells me standing up slowly and carefully

Nathan starts up the stairs and I follow behind him.

Nathan walks into Aubrey's room and lays her down in her bed.

Nathan covers Aubrey up and kisses her forehead and we walk out of Aubrey's room.

Nathan and I go back downstairs and sit on the couch with Jake and Chloe.

" How was your day as a parent?" Jake asks me

" Good. Tomorrow is your day. Are you nervous?" I ask Jake

" Not really" Jake tells me

" Kade, Did you ask any for help today?" Nathan asks me

" I asked Aubrey for help" I tell Nathan

" What did she tell you?" Nathan asks me smiling from ear to ear

" She said that she couldn't help me because she was helping daddy prove Uncle Kade and Uncle Jake wrong" I tell Nathan

" That's my girl" I hear Nathan whisper smiling proudly

" Now that I think about it that was evil" Jake says

" What is evil?" I ask Jake

" Nathan turning our niece against us " Jake says pointing a finger at Nathan

" I am her dad it's my job" Nathan says chuckling

We talk for a few more minutes until Chloe goes to bed.

I look at the time and see that it is 9 P.M. and I realize I tired I actually am.

" Are you okay, Kade?" Jake asks me

" I am so tired. I can barely keep my eyes open. I'm going to bed goodnight." I tell Nathan

I carry myself upstairs and go to my bedroom. I brush my teeth and strip out of my clothes and put on a pair of shorts and a T-shirt and crawl into bed.

Today was a good day but I will never question the work that goes into being a parent or why Chloe and Nathan are always so tired at the end of the day.
