Chapter Four- Bargaining and Depression

2025 as a year has passed since chapter two.

Alex's POV

"Please just let me keep him for as long as he can remember, so please" I asked. Lafayette sighed, "No! He is dangerous and if he does stay here he needs to stay in his room. I led him to my room which brought back flashbacks of when we first fell in love two years ago. He told me he would cry if I got bit and I reassured him I wouldn't but he got bit instead and I'm going through what he was talking about, "John please come back to me I love you so much. Don't turn into a zombie please... I love you so much. I saw no emotion in his eyes and he looked brain dead. He was a full fledged zombie. That's when it really hit me I started bawling my eyes out more then I had for the first months he was gone. He had no reaction he just stared, "Zombies are trying to break down the door  People have gotten stolen they were gonna grab you and bite you if you got too close and they did and now you have your soulless eyes. Your soulless glassy eyes. You are in there somewhere.... I know it. I just have to try hard enough..." I said trying to talk to John when there was a knock at the door and it was persistent Lafayette shouted, "THERE IS NO WAY WE ARE LETTING ANYBODY IN WITH A ZOMBIE IN HAMILTON'S ROOM!" I could tell he was trying to warn off the person. The knocking stopped short after and there was a sigh from the door. I forced John to sit down and I sat right in front of him. He had no soul my John was gone. I felt so depressed so sad and I couldn't deal with it I wanted to kill myself but I had a thought, "What if John still acted like himself. I unducted taped his mouth and he started thrashing trying to bite me, "Peaches, please it's me Lexi." He started to realise that he couldn't escape as far as I could see as he slowed down. I repeated the sentence, "Peaches, please it's me Lexi." over and over hoping for some sort of reaction but nothing. He was in the phase where he was loosing memories by now and he was emotionless he never said anything or made any noise he just stared at me with his lifeless eyes. Mulligan walked in soon after and John thrashed again trying to bite him, "Hamilton! Get him out he's trying to bite me!" He yelled terrified as he knew if he were to kill John I would kill him for sure. I looked to John, "Peaches, please" I said. I wasn't sure if John was reacting to me calling him by the pet name or just remembering he couldn't attack anyone. Lafayette walked out and saw Mullgian he grabbed his arm and held him back, "Alexander get rid of him! He is dangerous and is gonna kill us! Just let him go!" I felt sad and compelled to do so since he had already tried to bite me, "Can I say goodbye? It was only one day I got to saw him before he fully turned..." I said. Lafayette nodded and left with Mulligan closing the door, "Sorry Peaches... Guess the day I found you I have to let you go. I started crying as I felt him wipe my tear with his shoulder as his hands were tied. as if he still had a few memories of us left  I looked up at him he still had no emotion and he most likely couldn't feel anything but John must've felt something there... He had too of there was no other way for it not to be. I smiled at him and put a hand on his face massaging his cheek, "Jacki I'm so sorry I hope you have fun with that girl... she's better then me huh..? She saved your life and I threw you out." I said and kissed him on the forehead. I lead him outside and undid the chains and rope. I ran inside sobbing my eyes out

Maria's POV

I stared at the almost finished potion it would only take a couple more months then John and I would be human again I walked outside and saw John I grabbed his arm and brought him to the cabin, "Don't worry John It's almost finished. It will take a week to take full effect but you'll be back to normal" I reassured with a large smile as I stared at the potion, "Oh and it will be done in a couple months sorry it is taking so long I just wanted everything to be as quick as possible for you to be with your boyfriend again. Maybe afterwards I could join you so I don't turn again huh?" I smiled at him I knew he could hear me. He felt trapped and he couldn't control himself. I smiled knowing he wouldn't feel that for so long.
