Cry waits in the doorway of a small building, rain pouring down on the tiny ghost town. He frowns, anxious. I should've went with him to find Phil.. Just as he steps out, the sound of heavy footsteps in the rain catches his attention. He stiffens, eyes narrow. There's every possibility it's Ohm and Phil, and every possibility it's someone, or something else. Cry draws his gun, just in case.

He sighs and relaxes as he sees Ohm and Phil through the misty rain. He ushers them into the building, then follows them in and closes the door behind them. He puts his gun back pocket and turns to his friends, "You guys okay?"

Phil nods, breathing heavily. Ohm chuckles softly, "Just peachy."

"No one got bit?" Cry asks.

"No, we're both okay." Ohm replies.

Cry looks from Ohm to Phil, "You sure? He doesn't look so good.."

Phil looks at Cry, eyes widening, "I-I'm not bit!"

"The kid's fine, Cry," Ohm sighs, "He's just freaked out and tired. He was trying to fend off two infected with a stick when I found him."

Cry's eyes soften and he sighs, "Sorry we lost you."

Phil just nods, sitting on the floor. He curls up, wrapping his arms around himself, looking like he's going to burst into tears at any second. Cry walks over and kneels in front of Phil, "Hey. It's going to be okay. We'll be back at the house with the others the day after tomorrow."

He puts his hand on Phil's shoulder, "Nothing's going to happen to you. I promise."

Phil nods and Ohm looks out the nearest window. Cry stands, "If you want to lie down for awhile, there's a bed in the first room on the left."

Phil stands slowly, smiling weakly, "Thanks."

He moves past Cry and goes to the room looking around. It's a small, nearly empty room. The bed doesn't even have sheets or anything on it. He sighs and goes over, sitting on the bed. Looking out the window to his right, all he can see is the rain. The sound of it calms him down a little and he moves and lies down on the bed, tucking his hands under his head as a makeshift pillow. He closes his eyes and tries to sleep.

Cry pulls his backpack off and sits on the floor. Ohm looks at him, "You okay?"

Cry nods, smiling up at his friend, "Just a little tired."

He chuckles, "And hungry."

Ohm smiles and sits down across from him, "Aren't we all?"

He sighs, "You really think we'll be back the day after tomorrow?"

"If this rain lets up," Cry replies, "And this town stays as silent as we think it is. Hopefully, we can get some supplies and get back no problem."

Ohm nods, "I'd like that. How do you think Minx, Signe, and Dave are doing?"

"Better than us," Cry says, "Hopefully."

Ohm chuckles and leans back against the wall, "I'm sure they are."

Cry opens his backpack and pulls out two granola bars and a half-empty water bottle. He tosses a granola bar and half-empty water bottle to Ohm then closes the backpack, setting it aside. They eat in silence, listening to the rain. They find solace in the fact that the rain is all they hear for once. And then they hear something else.

Cry sits up, "Do you hear that..?"

Ohm blinks, "Hear what?"

"Shh," Cry pushes himself to his feet, walking over to the front door. Ohm looks over at his friend questioningly, "What do you hear?"

Cry leans against the front door, putting his ear to the wood, listening intently. Ohm stands, "Cry?"

"Shh!" Cry insists, moving and opening the door slightly to try and hear better. Ohm stands close by, frowning. Soft voices, and then footsteps, and then louder voices. Cry's eyes widen and he looks at Ohm, whispering, "People."

...

"We should wait for the rain to let up." Signe states, staring out a window of the house she, Minx, and Dave are taking shelter in. Minx stands by the door, arms crossed. Dave sighs, fidgeting lightly. He looks nervous, "We should head back soon.. We've been gone awhile already, I don't like being split from the group for so long. What if something happens?"

"We just have to trust them," Signe replies.

Minx nods, "Cry's with them, they'll be fine."

"You trust Cry a lot," Signe tilts her head.

Minx frowns at her, "So?"

"I've just noticed you put a lot of faith in him," Signe shrugs.

Minx crosses her arms, "What are you getting at?"

Signe stares at her, "How special is he to you?"

Minx looks confused, scared, and angry all at once. She scoffs, "He's my friend, he's just as important as everyone else."

Signe smiles slowly, "Are you sure about that?"

"I don't know what you think you know, but--" Dave cuts Minx off, "Now is not the time for this."

"If not now then when?" Signe sighs, "I'm just stating the obvious."

"The obvious?" Minx rolls her eyes, "In case you haven't heard, I'm into girls."

Signe chuckles softly, "I see the way you look at him. I see the way he goes out of his way to take care of you. You two are so oblivious to the feelings you have for each other, it's almost funny."

Minx storms towards Signe in a rage and Dave steps in between them, "Minx--!"

Minx snarls at Signe, "Keep your stupid opinions to yourself! I don't have a fucking crush on Cry, I am a happily married woman!"

Dave's eyes widen and Signe stiffens. Minx stops, shivering. She clenches her hands into fists then growls, turning away from them, "Just keep your fucking opinions to yourself."

She goes into another room and slams the door behind her. Dave turns to Signe and she sighs, looking back out the window. Dave crosses his arms, frowning, "What makes you think she has a crush on Cry?"

Signe continues staring out the window, "Exactly what I said. Besides, I know love when I see it."

Dave leans against the wall, "Right.. Well.. Maybe you should have waited a few months or longer before talking to her about.. Her feelings."

Signe looks back at him, smiling softly, "With the way the world is, if now's not the time to show how much you love someone, then when is?"
