[Eleven]

*1 month later*
Once again I was back. Back in Riverdale. But this time I was alone, Travis wasn't with me. I had gone back to see Betty, Cheryl and Toni so that the three of us could start planning the wedding. My first stop in Riverdale though was Pop's. I had been craving a chocolate milkshake for the longest time. I walked inside and Poptate greeted me "Veronica, it's good to see you here!"
"Well get excited cause I'm staying for a few more days than last time"
"Great! What brings you back this time?"
"Well I'm engaged!" I showed him the ring on my finger "wow I'm happy for you Veronica. You want your normal chocolate milkshake?"
"Of course Pop's, I've been craving it!" I sat down at a table next to the window. They had always been my favorite ones. You could look outside and see what other people were doing and at the same time now exactly what was going on in Pop's. Pop's came and gave me my milkshake. I started drinking it and thinking about all the things we were going to plan the next day. The dress, the place, the food etc etc. i heard the bell above the door ring but I didn't bother turning around "you've always loved your chocolate milkshakes, of course you would come back to town for one" I turned around and there he stood "hey Archie, and this wasn't the only reason I came back"
"Hm are you about to tell me the other reason?"
"Actually yes, that's why I called you and asked you to meet me here. Sorry if it's late"
"It's fine, it's only 2am"
"Where's Lilac?"
"Sleeping at Betty and Jughead's"
"Okay, how is she?"
"She's good, but she's really missing you"
"And how are you?"
"Why do you ask? Because the last time you saw me you slept with me and then left to be with someone else?"
"No, because even if we're not together I still care about you!"
"Well I'm okay"
"Good, good"
"Now, can you please tell me why I'm here?"
"I needed to tell you something. Travis-"
"Proposed to you? Yeah I already know that"
"Wait, how do you know?"
"Well for starters, you're wearing an engagement ring and I also heard Betty tell Jughead that that was the reason you were coming back a few days ago"
"Oh, I'm sorry that you didn't hear it from me"
"No it's better this way. Now I could have my breakdown in private without you watching" I looked at him with a serious look "please don't make this into a joke!"
"I'm sorry that I find it kinda funny that the day you told me you were in love with me and slept with me you also got engaged to your boyfriend"
"How do you know when it happened?"
"I confronted Betty about it. Now if you excuse me I have to go and get Lilac, bye" he stood up and walked out. I knew that he wouldn't take it in a good way but not this bad. He was joking about it like he was trying to hurt me with his jokes and it did work. The only problem was that what was hurting was the fact that he was hurting, not his jokes. I didn't care about the jokes, I cared about him. Even broken up he would always have a special place in my heart. I still loved him, I was still in love with him. But I was in love with him in the way that could ruin me. If he asked me to kill someone for him I probably would. Which was why we broke up. And now I would go home, go to bed and then wake up, go to Betty's and start planning my wedding. I did as I said and walked home. When I got home my parents were already asleep so I went straight to bed. It felt good being back at the Pembrooke. I fell asleep the second my head landed on my pillow.
The next morning I woke up from the sound of laughter. I walked to the kitchen and my parents sat there talking to Betty and Toni "Veronica, good morning" Betty practically screamed out. She walked over to me and pulled me into a hug "good morning to you too" Toni did the same as Betty and walked over to hug me "even though it's only been a month it feels like forever. Also Cheryl says she's sorry for not being here but she had to work"
"That's fine"
"You ready to start planning? I brought every wedding magazine I've ever bought and Toni brought just some normal fashion magazines"
"That's great but can I please wake up before we start planning?"
"Of course, what do you need?" Toni asked as she grabbed her bag ready to leave "I need coffee!"
"Then lets go, Betty's car is right outside" both of them took their shoes on and ran outside.
"I guess I'm leaving to go plan my wedding"
"Have fun Mija" I went back inside my room and quickly put on a pair of black pants and a pink crop top. I then walked out to the car and Betty drove us to Pop's. We walked inside and ordered some breakfast. Then we spent the next few hours just planning. It was fun but also extremely exhausting. When Betty dropped me of at the Pembrooke after being done for the day I crashed immediately in bed. I woke up from the sound of my phone calling "hello"
"Hey Ronnie, just wondering if you wanted to come with me on a small roadtrip?"
"Arch, I don't think I-"
"I promise you to not do anything stupid. Come on, it'll just be two friend going on a roadtrip together"
"You promise to not try anything?"
"I promise!"
"Fine! Pick me up in an hour"
"See you later!" I hung up and hopped in the shower. Afterwards I took out a dress from my closet but when I tried putting it on I couldn't pull the zipper up. I called my mom asking her to help but she could barely pull it up either "I don't get it, I wore this dress like three weeks ago"
"Don't worry sweetie, just put on something else" she walked out and I slipped out of the dress and tossed it aside. I put on the same black pants as earlier but this time I took a hoodie instead of a croptop. I heard a honk and looked outside. Archie's truck was parked right outside so I walked out to him "hey Ronnie"
"Hello Archiekins, lets go on a roadtrip!"
