°(Y/N) POV°

I couldn't be more terrified in my life.
Today was the day I meet him...
The day I meet my fiance...

" (y/n)!! Hurry up and let me see your dress!!" My mother shouts from downstairs, and I sigh, staring in the mirror at myself.

"Coming!" I scurry downstairs and see my mother in her usual pencil skirt and blazer, my father wearing a sharp black suit.

Here I am.
Forced to wear a fitted black dress that I also didn't have a choice in picking out for this... occasion.

"Oh! You look lovely dear. Now, get in the car and the driver will take you to the cafe where we shall meet Mr. Patterson." She waves her hand to shoo me away, and I look down at my feet.

"Y-You won't be in t-the car with me mom?" I fidget with my fingers and I hear my mother sigh.

"I will be going later, I have to finish some paper work in my office and your father needs to find the lease for the house I had chosen for you." She states bluntly, and my heart sinks.

I can't even pick my own fucking house?!

Without saying another word, I head to the elevator and right back tears.

"What happened to when you said 'the world is yours'?" I murmur sadly, and once the elevator stops, I quickly make my way to the parked black SUV.

"Good morning Miss (L/n)." My driver gives a polite smile and I look down, smiling shyly.

"Good morning Craig." I put on my seat belt and fidget with my fingers again as he drives off to the cafe, and my current personal hell.

All is quiet until Craig breaks the silence.

"Are you feeling okay Miss (L/n)?" He peeks at me from the rear view  mirror and I see the genuine concern carried in his gaze.

"No... and I told you to call me (y/n)." I smile a bit wider this time, and he returns it, nodding his head.

"Of course, (y/n)."

I blush slightly and look out the window.

Craig is one of the more... familiar employees of my parents.

He's kind and funny, and when it comes down to it, he really cares about me.

"Is it about Mr. Patterson?" He asks gently, as if he could break me with his words.

I simply nod and offer a sad smile.

"You know how my parents are..." I murmur, my voice slightly cracking from my stress, and I remind myself not to make my mascara run.

Another thing I don't really have a choice on in this matter.

I didn't want to wear makeup.

"Your parents do love you, (y/n)." He tries to reassure me, but I'm simply look down at my lap and bite my lip.

"Doesn't feel like it..." I almost whisper, but I know Craig hears and he sighs.

"You're gonna be okay, (y/n). I promise."

With that all is quiet again until we finally get to the cafe, and I thank him for the ride.
Even when I don't have to, I still want to.
It makes me feel normal.

I walk hesitantly into the cafe, and I'm greeted with the smell of fresh coffee and chocolate chip muffins.

I search the big room until I find the bearded man in the far corner.

I walk up to him, regretting each step, and before I have a chance to sit, Luke stands and takes my hand as if he's a gentleman.

"Lovely to meet you, my dear~" He eyes me as if I'm a piece of chocolate, and his gaze makes me grow uncomfortable.

"H-Hello." I stutter shyly, and he chuckles.

"Don't be so shy now, I don't bite," He kisses my cheek, and before he pulls back he whispers into my ear, "unless you want me to." He casually sits down and fixes his suit jacket.

I stand shocked, flushes and bothered, and finally sit down, looking all around as if searching for an escape plan.

Suddenly, a man comes to the table, and sits next to Luke.

"Oh! You made it! Good morning, my name is Bryce. My apologies, I was in the restroom. I was simply discussing the marriage paper work with Mr. Patterson here, and all I need is for you to sign here." He points to a dotted line, and I feel as though I'm selling my soul.

I sign and Luke smiles darkly at me, tapping his fingers on the table.

Bryce starts up a conversation with Luke, and I'm left to sit awkwardly and gaze around the cafe.

Its actually quite beautiful.
Dark wood tables, white cushioned benches, white lace curtains, cream colored walls, brown eyes--wait.

I pause when I see a pair of dark brown eyes gazing at me from across the cafe, and I my eyes widen.
I look away quickly, blushing madly, and peek up again.

He's looking the other way, and I catch sight of his features. Caramel skin, asian, raven spiked hair, muscular, lively brown eyes--SHIT!

I realize he caught me staring this time, and I look away again, biting my lip and blushing harder.

He's gorgeous...

I try my best to peek at him, one of my hands holding my necklace while the other rests on my lap.

He's still staring, but this time he smiles softly, winking at me, and never have I found such a gesture so charming before.

I smile shyly and blush, looking away again.

"Who are you looking at?" Luke suddenly leans his elbows against the table and crosses his hands, and his sudden changed demeanor startles me.

My eyes widen and I hold my necklace tighter.

"U-Uh, I-I was just-"

"Good morning Mr. Patterson!" My mother suddenly calls to him from a few feet away, and my father shakes his hand.

I peek once more at the mysterious gorgeous man, but he's gone.
