The Distance Between Them (Joshler)

Chapter 3

~Josh's Pov~
As I sat there in bed watching Netflix, I felt my phone vibrate next to me. I picked it up to see that the AlienBoyJoseph kid had texted me back.

AlienBoyJoseph: Aww thank you Josh! My name is Tyler and I'm 16 years old. I live in Ohio and I love music!

I was super happy that he answered me back, but now was the real challenge. For the next hour, I sat there thinking of a way to respond that didn't make my anxiety spike up. I finally thought of a non chalant reply to send back to Tyler.

DjSpookyJim: I guess now that the introductions are done, we could be friends? Its cool if you aren't interested.

I went to set my phone back down, but it vibrated again and it was Tyler. I was super worried that he would be creeped or weirded out at my offer, but despite my anxiety I opened the message.

AlienBoyJoseph: I would love to be friends with you Joshy!

I read it kinda quickly to get it over with, but something caught my attention. He called me Joshy? I sorta had my suspicions about something, but I would let this slide so I could find out if I was correct. So I decided to text back as if I didn't catch the little nickname I had been given.

DjSpookyJim: Yayy! I'm really glad you accepted my awkward offer for a friend position lol.

After I hit send, I threw my phone on the bed and headed for the bathroom. I turned on the shower and got ready for the day.

~Tyler's Pov~
I sat there on my bed holding my breath and trying not to cry. I didn't mean to call him Joshy, but I didn't think much of it because of how much I had gone into my headspace. But then the silence was broken by my phone dinging. I picked it up and saw a message from Josh. I slowly clicked on the notification on the screen.

DjSpookyJim: Yayy! I'm really glad you accepted my awkward offer for a friend position lol.

I sat there and took some deep breaths and sorta laughed at how awkward he was. Josh didn't metion anything about the nickname accidently given to him. Tyler decided to let it go and continued to text Josh.

~Neither of their Pov~
Josh and Tyler texted back and forth for pretty much the rest of the day. Laughs were shared from either sides of the screen. They had become great friends in a matter of no time. Josh had confirmed his suspicion. He knew Tyler was a little and it wasn't very hard to tell. Josh was a dom himself and he wondered if Tyler had a caregiver. He would just have to wait and see.
