Melinda's P.O.V

We were heading back to the village, me, Polly and Mataba, to find Tafarie, after all what were whitelightas for if not to help you figure out how you became a permanent member of the big cat family.

"It might be better to stop right here, so your friend doesn't scare the other villagers." Mataba said.

"Good thinking, remember get the tall puffy haired guy and my sister." Polly said to him as he ran off, man did he look like a girl with his hair bouncing behind him as he ran off.

"Don't worry Mel you can't be a mega lion forever." She said and I roared in response.

"I know you don't really want to talk about it, but I have to ask what happened between you and Moon so when you can talk you have to tell me everything."

Okay so maybe being a lioness isn't that bad.

"No way! Mel?" Henry exclaimed I could tell from the look on his face that he was enjoying the fact that I was currently on all fours.

Pattoria, Tafarie and DJ we're behind him flanked by Mataba.

"What happened?" Tafarie asked, then Henry snapped a picture of me with his phone and I pretended to lunged at him and he gasped and tripped over his own two feet.

"That wasn't funny." He said, then DJ took a picture of him.

"She used a spell to turn herself into one of the mega lions, but now she can't reverse it." Polly told Tafarie.

"Sounds like a backfire." Tafarie said.

"So does that mean, she'll stay like this forever?" Henry asked.

"No, but she probably won't go back to normal until she learns some kind of lesson or maybe her being a lioness helps us somehow." Tafarie said.

"Wait my plan to find out where Matt is then one of us switching places with him using a glamour, it gives us the upper hand and a way to get info and now that Melinda's a first class predator she could definitely track them down." Polly said.

"That's a good plan." Tafarie said.

"Yeah, but how's she going to tell us where they are? Following her defeats the purpose of having her track them." Henry said.

"Hello guys, you're all forgetting something." Polly said gesturing to Pattoria.

They still looked confused.

"I can talk to animals." Torria said.

"Oooh! Right...." Henry trailed off.

"Mel do you understand the plan?" Torria asked me.

"Yes, but I'll need something of Matt's so I can pick up on his sent." I roared/replied.

"She says she'll need something of his." Torria said.

"He left his sneakers." DJ said.

"Gross." Polly said and I fully agreed, friends should not smell each other's feet.

Ialready had too many near death experiences after smelling Henry's stinky feet on numerous occasions.

"How come she can still understand us?" Henry asked.

"Because she's not a lion, she just looks and sounds like one." Tafarie said.

A few minutes later I was running through the jungle gaining on Matt's scent, hoping I wouldn't run into any dangerous animals on my way.
