I smiled down at my phone as I sat down at the cafeteria table. Millie and Ally soon filed into the cafeteria after and took their seats after getting food. They both looked like they didn't want to spend another second in the hell-hole of a building. I didn't blame them since I felt the exact same way. At least it was our last year here.

"Do you ever think about what animals think?" Millie questioned. "Like I have a kitten that I find so adorable and I just want to know what goes on in her tiny head."

"I share those feelings, like I'm sure most people do, but why ask?" I gave her a question back.

"Just something that was on my mind," the British girl shrugged her shoulders as she continued to eat her food.

"I have a dog named Sophie. She's so cute and fat," Ally giggled at the thought of her dog.

"Now I wish I had a pet," I pouted at the two.

"I think you'd be more of a cat person," Millie placed a finger to her chin in thought.
"She's totally a dog person," Ally shook her head at Millie. "Just look at her. She's looks like a person who'd love a dog."

Their disagreement about what kind of pet I would like led to a whole World War III. They were pointing out features of my face as I just sat there considering what my life had come to at that moment. As I was pondering my life Keith sat beside me, examining what was happening.

"Keith! What do you think Y/n would want, a cat or a dog?" Millie frantically questioned the newcomer.

"Uh why don't you just ask her?" he threw the spotlight onto me in the argument. I sent him a threatening glare before looking at the two girls.

"[Cat/dog]," I gave a small smile towards the girls before turning to Keith. The girls started fighting again because one of them had started boasting about being right. "What brings you to our civilized table?"

"My buddies are being stupid so I came over here," Keith rolled his eyes. "Seems like we're in the same boat."

I looked over Keith's shoulder to where he usually sits for his whole lunch. His friends were visibly arguing about something. "Seems that way huh?"

"Yeah," he glanced at the two girls who were still yelling at each other. "How's Jack?"

"Great! He's picking me up from school for some reason," I shrugged. "He usually is too busy for that."

"Got any idea why?" he tilted his head a bit.

"Not really.." I glanced at the ground. "Maybe he just wants to see me, that cutie."

"Seems like your relationship is much better than last year," Keith shook his head with a smile.

"Oof don't remind me," I laughed a little. "That was such a hectic time."

"Very," he adjusted his square framed glasses that were over his green eyes. "I'm glad it's working so well for you."

"Thank you," I bowed my head slightly. "You liking any ladies yet?"

"Not yet," he rubbed his arm nervously.

"Dude you have to find some kind of lady," I shook my head. "You know how much I stress the great feelings it comes with."

"Yeah but how do you deal with the heartbreak?" he looked into my e/c eyes with his saddened green ones.

"Deal with it as it comes. Heartbreak is inevitable, it'll happen no matter what," I gave him a grin. "It's really hard sometimes but it'll almost always get better."
