Set Up By A Friend - Derek

(I did the 14 day valentine's day prompts)

C/N: Child's name

Being a single mum with a new werewolf toddler was difficult. I was a family friend of the Scott's and when he found out that i might have a werewolf child he insisted that I should meet the a pack.

I had already met most of the pack, i just hadn't met Derek but when Scott called and said Derek was coming around my place for dinner that night and that it was a date i hung up because i don't do dates and i have no where to take the toddler so my baby would meet him to.

When I heard knocking i yelled "It's open" and after five minutes of no one coming to the kitchen i walked to check on C/N. When I entered the living room I noticed a man playing with them.

"Your Derek, right?" I asked which he nodded to "Derek, that is C/N. Wave C/N" When they waved their eyes flickered and they started to cry until Derek flickered his earning the toddler's attention and smile before C/N babbled "Dada" which not only was it adorable but also their first word.

Dinner was slightly awkward by as C/N got sleepy I went to take them to bed but Derek wanted to take them so I told him where their room was and he set off with them in his arms. After I cleaned the table I walked to C/N's room where I heard Derek say "Good night buddy" before walking out closing the door slightly and faced me to say "I would like to come back again and take you both out to dinner"

"You can come back tomorrow if you like, I struggle when it's a full moon and tomorrow night is the full moon"

"Then I'll see you tomorrow"

"Bye Derek" I said kissing his cheek.
