~Reality~
This is where the story gets interesting. Things just start going downhill and...it leads up to where I am now.
But when this story ends...another one begins.
Never forget that...
~Past~
"Ginger it's time." I mumbled looking at the clock. She told me to watch the clock and to let her know when it was 6:30pm.
"I'm coming. Lydia said to meet by the park by the way." She answered from the back of the apartment.
"That's cool." I grabbed my car keys and sunglasses. I had found out that my temper flares a lot easier when I'm under stress, and to keep others from seeing the dangerous side of me I kept the he shades on.
Ginger had warned me that my eyes reflected flames and looked a lot like the pits of hell... for some reason I found it kind of cool. But apparently it was scary to everyone else.
"Ready." Ginger came up behind me. She as wearing a long black dress that had strange white symbols on it.
"What are you wearing?" I asked starring at her.
"Darcy told me to wear it. She sent it to me in the mail last night, its kinda tacky but I like it. I have one for you too." She hands me a folded dress.
I unfold it to see a magnificent gown. Its filled with sparkles that reflect off the colors of flames. Its partly see through towards the end and it has a slit leg. The dress is a bright orange that turns to different shades of red around the waist that turns to the color of ash at the end.
"Why do I need this?" I stare at the dress then look up at Ginger.
"Its a surprise. So hurry up and go change and do something pretty with your hair...just make sure ur not wearing any makeup whatsoever!" She grabs a large bag from under the coffee table and hurries off towards her room.
"We have 15 minutes!" She yells over her shoulder.
And here I thought we were through with secrecy. I shook my head and headed into my room. I closed the door before stripping off my jeans and T-shirt. I slipped the dress on over my head and pulled it down. I turned to the mirror on the wall and situated myself. There were so many sparkles the dress appeared see through. It was long sleeve, the sleeves hung down by my hands giving it a strange fairytale like effect. I took my Hair down from its bun. It had grown several more inches and was now down to my elbows. It cascaded down my back in curls from being in a bun all day.
I hurried into my bathroom easily moving in the light dress and searched through the cabinets till I found what I needed. I sprayed the gel through may hair and used my hands to massage it in. I looked in the mirror once more only to notice that the dress looked different. It looked as if it was apart of me.
I moved my arm up and the sparkles moved with as if they were also alive. I twirled and the entire dress came to life, the sparkles moving like the crackling flames of a campfire.
"Are you ready?" I jumped at Gingers voice and turned towards her.
"You scared me...," She looked at the dress and me then smiled.
"Here." She passed me a box. I looked at her with a quizzical face.
"More gifts?"
"Just open it!" She rolled her eyes and pulled the sleeves of her silk dress back.
I opened the wood box and set the lid down on the bathroom counter. Inside was a pair of sandals that wrapped up ur ankle. They were brown and resembled sticks. I picked one up feeling the material only to realize it did feel like a tree. On the side was a small pendant of a flame.
