~Reality~

It's almost time, this may be the last chapter of my story but as I've told you before where one story starts another one begins.

~Past~

Ginger smiles at me and Mary her eyes shining.

"What?" I ask her looking at Marielle then myself. Nothing was different so why was she looking at us like a married couple?

"It's just amazing how much my life has changed since I met you..."

"Is that a bad thing?"

"No! No of course not. It's amazing honestly." She continued starring at us like something out of a fairytale.

"Can you stop looking at us like that?" I raise my eyebrow as she quickly looks at the ground.

"Yeah sorry just getting used to the whole 'supernatural' thing." She smiles rolling her eyes, I smile back glad that I was able to share all these experiences with the one true friend I have left. But that happiness didn't last long.

Marielle was looking far off at the trees ignoring the conversations going on around her. "Are you alright?" I asked her tapping her arm gently. She turns to me a slightly anxious look in her eyes.

"Somethings not right..." She barely whispers looking back to the dark shadow of the trees. I stare at where she's looking not able to see anything but a squirrel starring at us.

"She's right, something isn't right." Darcy says, "Let's get you two out of here."I look at Darcy but she's already packing up the items from our ritual. Lydia reading her mother's thoughts grasp my wrist and leads us both out the way we came I feel my heart speed up as something else seems to grasp at my free hand. I look down to see a familiar face, a face I haven't seen in almost a month.

"I love you..." Lily says starring up at me her eyes blank and her mouth set in a thin line.

"What's happening?" I ask Lydia ignoring Lily; I knew when I'd look back she'd be gone.

"Nothing dear do not worry, just follow me." I look back over at where Lily was holding my wrist only to see, she's still there. Her eyes never leaving me.

What's happening?

I'm not sure...everyone's freaking me out. A-and Lily's here...

Well none of them are tuned in to any of your thoughts...they're all busy doing something else I guess...I'd ask them but the only way for me to communicate is if their listening.

Do you think it has anything to do with the ritual?

"Excuse me!" I look up to see a police officer walking towards me and Lydia. I look around him to see another one snooping by Ginger's car.

Shit.

"Are you Serina? Serina Wilson?" He asks approaching us. His eyes search my face as if looking for some sign of recognition.

Shit Shit Shit.

"Who needs to know?" My heart is hammering in my chest but my voice is calm and collected. There's sweat building in my palms as he pulls out a badge. "I'm officer Soto, from the Washington police department." My stomach drops.

Washington.

My home town, the place where I murdered everyone I ever cared about. Lydia stiffens next to me. I look at her to see she's starring at me with wide eyes. "I'm so sorry, I have to go." She backs away back towards the woods.

I look at the cop expecting him to say something about her dismissal, to tell her to stay for interrogation but he doesn't even look her way. I realize then, that he can't see her. No one but me can see Lydia, Ginger, Darcy and Marielle as they stand on the sidelines their faces solemn. When I turn towards them something yanks me back. Lily is still next to me starring at me with those huge blue eyes of hers. My heart hammers in my chest louder than before as I realize the insanity of my entire situation. Everyone I've come to know is completely invisible and I'm the only one able to see or hear them. I feel the sudden urge to cry, to scream, to run away from this madness.
