shikaru quickly jumps back and pulls out three kunai and throws them at gikachi then they all fly off coarse. then gikachi pulls out two metal sticks, then he swings out and they turn into fans. he then makes some hand signs after putting them down: ox, bird, monkey, rat, dog, ram. "wind style: Air Manipulation!" he yells. then the fans start to float into the air. gikachi waves his hands around and the fans move with it. they then fly at shikaru. "what are those gonna do?" shikaru says.
one then flies past his shoulder. then it bursts out with blood, "huh?" he grunts with pain, "you see, my chakra can manipulate the wind remember?" he says. then the other fan flies for shikaru. he dodges by jumping aside, no cuts that time. "alright then!" says shikaru. he then makes the rat seal. "shadow possession jutsu!" he yells then his shadow starts to stretched he makes it stop one of the fans in mid air. then it flies at gikachi. "dang it." he says, then when he tries to dodge the other fan stops moving and lands on the ground.
the shadow possession keeps making gikachi loose focus so he cant control the fans, then he pulls out two more fans and throws them at shikaru, shikaru then ducks and the fans fly over his head and slam into the wall, then after about three minutes of dodging. the shadow possession then stops, "dang it!" says shikaru, then the shadow possession goes back to him. "so thats your limit." says gikachi. then he makes the hand signs from before and all four of the fans start to fly.
they all start to attack shikaru with amazing speed, one cuts his arm, and then another flies past his leg, his leg then gets cut as well as his back. then shikaru turns into a block of wood, "what?" says gikachi, then i see shikaru reappear behind him. shikaru then makes the rat seal. his shadow stretches and hits gikachi. gikachi stands perfectly still, all movement from shikaru is linked with gikachi's.
"alright, time for my new jutsu." says shikaru. "shadow strangle jutsu!" he says. then the shadow that was surrounding gikachi starts to create hands, they all start to crawl up his body up to his neck, then i hear gikachi gagging, after about 40 seconds gikachi starts to turn purple, and then he looses consciousness. "the winner by default is shikaru nara." says the proctor. when everything has been taken care of the next match gets put together, but there were only two people left so this is the final match of the preliminaries.
"rue sarutobi vs. chogen akimichi!" says the proctor. i didn't pay attention to this fight at all i needed to rest and regain more chakra. all i know about that fight was that rue sarutobi won. "all winners of the preliminaries come down, we need to randomize all of you for the tournament." says the proctor. me, yuri, gikachi, yagura, rue, hinato, gidoro, hayden, and mina, meet on the battlefield. "now, we are going to randomize it like so," says the proctor. "you will all pick a number from the hat and will be randomized in the battle brackets." the proctor says.
"the final part of the chunin exams is a tournament." the proctor continues. "now lets get to it." he says with a smile. we all draw our numbers and then put it back in the hat, my number is 4. i listen to all of the numbers being called. the first match is 3 vs. 9/ 1 vs. 7/ me vs. 6/ 8 vs. 5/ but before he can finish, mina raises her hand. "yes mina?" asks the proctor. "i'd like to withdraw." she says. "alright," the proctor says. he then erases number 6, so i would have fought mina if she didn't withdraw. "alright then its 4 vs. 2." says the proctor. i look around and see no one fesses up to being against me.
the proctor then writes down everyone's names. he turns his clip board around and shows us all of the rounds. i see my name, i'm fighting Yuri, so i'm gonna have to defend against a bunch of moving ribbons? alright, fine with me. i look around at all the other rounds.

after the preliminaries have been called to the end, we are all escorted to the locker rooms. all 6 of the guys head on into the males room, and the females into theres, i walk over to the showers and get undressed. i get rinsed off of all the dirt, sweat and grossness and finish the shower. i walk back to my clothes and get dried off. i get dressed and then walk out, where tadashi and sensei are waiting for me. we wait about 10 minutes more and mina walks out, her hair still wet from her shower, we all walk our group to ichiraku ramen for celebration.
although tadashi could not celebrate with us, he had some family problems for the night. when we're done at ichiraku we walk to our houses, and i get dropped off last. "alright, see you sensei." i say. i walk off and into the uchiha clan walls. i get to my cold and lonely house and get upstairs to my room, and land on my soft bed, and just slowly but surely drift off to sleep...
