Chapter 4//She's The Demon

////Storm's P.O.V////

We ended up delivering the box and completing the job. The whole team found a table in the guild hall, drinking our drinks from our cups. Everyone's joking around, as if nothing had happened. I, on the other hand, don't know what think.

She's the demon.

Nashi is the demon.

The shadow mage people call a demon.

"You ok?" Igneel asks, he didn't see what happened, he doesn't know what happened. I nod, I'm afraid of I try to say something I might tell him  how she's the demon wizard we heard about. "You sure?" I nod again.

Lucky flies overhead, landing over by Luna. They start talking, probably about the job. I'm surprised Lucky hadn't tagged along with Luna, they're almost always together. Nashi takes a seat next to me, holding a glass of water.

"Where have you been?" I ask, trying to not seem weirded out. Why didn't she tell me?

"Talking to mom and dad," she replies, drinking some water. She looks at me, as if to inspect, "You ok?"

"Y-Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" I stammer, drinking my own drink so she can't see my face.

"You just have been acting weird since the job," I don't say anything, "You're as quiet as the twins."

Sylvia glares at us, causing me to shiver at her cold gaze. "Don't say that," I whisper. Rin is quiet but usually nice when he talks, he just seems rude. Sylvia, on the other hand, seems scary and is scary. When they were younger, when Nashi knew them, they talked more, but lately they've been growing even more distant. Sylvia and Rin have been focusing more on magic than socializing, they want to be S-class, and they probably could be.

"Sylvia, Rin," Rose says, putting a hand on each of their shoulders, "You guys did great today! You should go out on jobs more often!" Rin's face goes a deep red and he stares right on ahead, blubbering to himself. Once Rose walks away Sylvia juts her elbow into his side, waking him up from his daze.

Sylvia and Rin take on lots of jobs, by themselves. They would do amazingly in a team, but prefer to be lone wolves.

"Want to go spar?" I ask Nashi. When she doesn't answer I look over to see her spot empty.

I find her in the woods behind the guild, there's a little clearing where we used to hang out-- but that was when we were kids. Now there is equipment all over, this is where all of the younger guild members train, Luna and Nova come here the most. Nashi is kicking at a tree, slashing bark off. She was always good at fighting, but she seems to have gotten better.

"Hey," I say simply from behind Nashi, trying not to startle her.

It didn't work, she turns around and immediately lifts her leg to kick at my face, my reflexes kick in and block it with my arm. That'll leave a bruise. "Oh, it's just you," she says, slumping back to the tree, sitting down.

"You've gotten better," I observe.

"Yeah, my teacher and I used to practice quite a bit," she plays with her hair as I take a seat next to her.
