Chapter 5//Crushes

////Nashi's P.O.V////

When I got home last night, I was surprised when Mom and Dad didn't ask where I was. I guess they thought I missed my friends and just wanted to hang out with them. I had assumed they'd wanted to spend time with me, because I'm their only child that is left in their house-- Luna and Igneel moved out while I was gone. Apparently, they just wanted me to do what I wanted, even if that wasn't spending every waking minute by their side.

Once I got to the guild hall in the morning I ordered some breakfast-- RAMEN! Storm say down next to me while I was eating, he made a weird face at me as I ate the delicious meal.

"Ramen? In the morning?" He asks. "And I thought you had a problem years ago!"

I laugh, choking on my meal. He pats-- more like slaps-- my back. Once I stop dying I mumble a small, "Thanks."

"No problem," he smiles.

Sylvia and Rin sit across from us, and Igneel takes a seat at the end of the table. Rosemary slaps her hands on the other end of the table then announces, "Ok, team, I got a job for us!"

I drop my chopsticks into my bowl of ramen, did she just call us a team?

"What do you mean, Rose?" Storm asks, Sylvia snatches the paper from Rose's hands and reads it over.

"We're a team, so let's go out on this job!"

"No," Sylvia says sternly. Rose gives her a look. "This job is stupid."

"How?"

"I-I th-think it's a-alright," Rin stammers, face going red. I can see why he keeps quiet.

"Thanks Rin," Rosemary gives him a bright smile, and he just about falls over.

Sylvia looks at her twin, more like glares, and slaps him across the face. Talk about violent. "Pull yourself together!" She screams in his ear. Rin nods, not even caring about what happened.

Rose looks at Storm and me. I guess she wants out opinion. "We're a team?" I ask.

"Of course we are, Nash!" She uses my nick name, it's common in the guild, but she's never called me 'Nash' before.

"But, we just went on one job," I play with my chopsticks.

"Sure!" Storm exclaims, "This job doesn't seem that hard!" What an optimist.

"Great!" Rose claps her hands together, "Then it's settled."

Sylvia pounds her hands onto the table, I expect her to say something, but she stays silent. Rin stands up and grabs her hand, and the retreat out of the guild. "What was all that about?" I ask.

"Changing for the job," Storm answers, "They always do that."

Oh, yeah, like yesterday.

"We should get ready! This job will take a few days to accomplish!" Rose says, holding her hand in a fist. She begins to walk away, but then stops to wave her hand to someone who just entered the guild hall.

He has deep crimson hair that nearly covers his eyes. An intricate marking under one of his eyes, his eyes are beautiful, I could stare in them all day. He's tall and looks awfully strong.
