Slumber Party Gone Wrong

Emelia tosses her bag aside stepping into the door. "Welcome home Miss Stark." JARVIS says upon her entry. Emelia kept her head down and sighs. Pepper walks in.

"Hey! How did it go?" she asks. Emelia looks at Pepper then runs upstairs. Pepper frowns worried at her. She walks over to Tony coming in the door. "What happened?" Tony looks up at her.

"Her invention went wrong. Blew up the chest on the dummy...." Tony explains sounding upset.

"Oh my gosh...she didn't get hurt did she? Are you alright?" Pepper shoots off questions.

"Yeah, yeah no harm. Just...Emelia was really upset by her invention failing..."

Emelia slumps on her bed throwing off her watch and sighing. She felt awful for how the meeting turned out. She thinks through her head what went wrong, if wiring was messed up, if it was a screw up in the beginning. Her face in the pillow, she hears her bedroom door open. She doesn't look up too upset to talk to anyone. "Hello Mr. Stark," JAMES says.

"Em..." Tony says sitting on the bed beside her. "Em you ok?" Emelia slowly shakes her head. Tony pets some of her long hair. "Honey, not everything I made succeeded at first. My first Arc Reactor nearly killed me before this one I have now," he taps his chest. Emelia groans rolling her eyes. "Emelia failure is natural. It's not the failures that define us though...it's how we get up from our failures and succeed," Emelia lifts her head up and looks up at Tony. Her eyes red and cheeks stained with tears. Tony gives her a sympathetic smile. Emelia sits up as she leans on him and he hugs her close. Tony rubs her arms and kisses the top of her head.

"We should be back tomorrow morning, in time for your birthday," Pepper says to Emelia as they get ready to leave. Emelia nods listening to her as Jackie snakes on by them with an overnight bag.

"Ok, please be safe," Emelia says as her and Pepper hug.

"Of course," Pepper kisses her head and walks out the door. Tony walks up and hugs Emelia.

"You two behave and try not breaking anything this time." Emelia laughs at her Dad's comment.

"No promises," he chuckles and kisses her head.

"I love you. Have a goodnight sweetheart," he starts to walk out.

"Love you too Dad..." he walks out and shuts the door. Emelia looks back at Jackie.

"Ready to break everything?" Emelia asks with a smirk. Jackie smiles.

"Hell yeah!" Jackie shouts happily.

"Miss Stark, I believe Mr. Stark did specifically say-" Emelia lifts her wrist to fiddle with her watch.

"And...." she pushes a couple things and JARVIS is shut off. "Second Dad is out of the way. Now let's get this started!"

Emelia and Jackie raid the kitchen pulling out all junk food and going all out on ice cream sundaes. Emelia manages to turn JAMES on for control over the house to bring out the big screen in the theater room. However, JAMES had no control of the security system and...with JARVIS shut off, Emelia would regret this night.

As the girls ate their sundaes watching Shameless on the screen. The power suddenly shuts off. Jackie looks around. "Did we fry the circuit?" she asks.

"Doubt it," Emelia says. "I bet it's just a glitch. JAMES, reconnect power." There's no response and Emelia frowns. She stands up looking to the ceiling. "JAMES....JAMES!" Still no response. Jackie begins to become afraid. "Odd..." she grabs her phone and turns on the flashlight on it.

"Where you going?" Jackie stands.

"Gonna check the breaker in Dad's lab."

"I-I'm coming with you," Jackie turns on her own flashlight and follows Emelia out. They get out to the living room area when the lights come on.

"Huh...maybe we were alright after all." Emelia looks at Jackie seeing her frozen with fear looking at the living room. She frowns and looks seeing three guys in black masks that hides their entire face, only making out the shape of their faces. Both of them drop their phones in shock.

"Well, well, well...good to see you join the party Miss Stark," She hears a voice that sounded familiar...but she didn't know how.

"Who are you?" Emelia makes herself sound brave, protecting Jackie.

"Don't remember me? Doesn't surprise me...your family did destroy mine," Emelia sees a couple men closing in on the sides as the one in the middle of the three, the boss, steps up towards them. "Don't even bother, you could try to run but I have people everywhere." Emelia glares at him. "I honestly didn't think we would get in," he pulls out a weapon from his pocket.

Emelia frowns at it. It appeared to be a taser gun but her device attached to the power source. She looks at the man as he points it right at her. "It's time Tony Stark pays for his sins." The man puts his finger on the trigger.

"NO!" Jackie shouts. She pushes Emelia back as he pulls the trigger. Wires shot out with high electricity coursing through them, most of it hitting Jackie and the remaining hitting Emelia. The electricity sends the girls convulsing on the ground.

Jackie's body squirmed all around like a lifeless rag doll. Emelia tenses her body up feeling every muscle in her body tighten up. The power to the wires are cut off and retracted as the men rush out with headlights shining in the window.

Emelia's vision blurs and spins as she looks from the ceiling to the front door. Tony and Pepper walk in, home early, and immediately are horrified.

"EMELIA!" They scream running to her. Emelia groans and swings her head to the side seeing Jackie laying on her side in the floor.

"J-Jackie..." she groans out before darkness surrounds her vision.
