Moving On

Emelia soon enough did start carrying on with a normal life. She continued her investigation of the strange symbol she found, only no one knew of her continuing so. She did it whenever she was alone or she was sure everyone in the house was asleep.

JAMES was the only system she had on in her lab. Making sure to terminate JARVIS programming in her main frame of the computer and blocking him out of the room. JAMES became central control for Emelia. Not only in her room but now her lab.

Emelia flicked through several company logos in New York City. None appearing like the half logo she had. She groans in annoyance and slams her head onto the desk. "Are you alright Miss?" JAMES comes up overhead.

"Yeah...I'm fine. Just beyond annoyed. None of the signs are matching this...whatever it is!" Emelia says starting to get angry. A small beeping began to sound from her watch on her wrist.

"Miss, your heart." Emelia looks down seeing the heart monitor start to spike fast. She takes a deep breath relaxing and the beeping soon slowed down to a relaxed heartbeat.

"I'm fine..."

"Perhaps, you ought to relax Miss. You do not need to overwork yourself or worry much more. I suggest a more relaxing activity for awhile." Emelia rolls her eyes pushing her chair from the desk and allowing it to roll before pushing herself out and walking to her work table.

"I'm fine JAMES." She taps on the glass bringing up holographic blueprints.

"What about a hangout with Leonard? You haven't spoke to him in some time."

"No JAMES! I said I-"

"I have already sent a message. He will be here shortly."

"JAMES! Why did you do that?!"

"Because Miss, you are in need of companionship." Emelia groans and looks down then up at the blue prints. They were of her heart capacitor device dissected apart. She sighs, flipping off the table and walking to the computer.

"Fine...I guess I can take a break." She starts closing out of her pages and locks the computer down.

"Thank you Miss. I am hopeful you will have a good time."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah.." she walks to the door stopping to look at the gift. She stares at it, events from that night replaying in her head. She looks down pushing away the pain. She then takes the gift and puts it away under a work table. Out of sight. Out of mind.

With that, she walks out of her lab as the doorbell rings.
