matthew blinked, staring at his co-star and best friend jackson who was standing in front of him, eyes wide and unblinking.
"you love me?" matt checked, disbelief evident in his voice. "why?"
"because you are worth getting my heart broken by." jackson shrugged, as if he hadn't just made a huge declaration of love not 5 seconds before. "because you are smart, funny, ridiculously hot, and stupidly tall, and you are kind, compassionate and anyone would be lucky to be loved by you. but i wouldn't mind having my heart broken by you just so you know you are not unlovable matthew daddario." jackson stood his ground, and his words echoed through matts head like a bullet ricocheting through an alley. jackson turned to leave, obviously not thinking anything more of their encounter and matt surged forward, grabbing his upper arm and spinning him back around.
jackson suddenly found himself inches away from matt, the taller man's eyes darting around but he seemed hesitant to do anything else. jackson smiled, a toothy grin only to gasp when matt surged forward and collided their mouths in a kiss that left them both lightheaded and on a completely different path than the one they'd started on 8 months ago.
