Jackson sat on the abnormally large couch in his small nyc apartment, his fat black and ginger cat Bark lounging across his legs and a seemingly depressed Matt with his head resting on Jacks lap. Jackson ran his fingers through the others dark tresses, knowing it calmed the other more than he'd ever let on.
"Sometimes i don't think i'm worthy of a person's love." Matt said, breaking the silence of the apartment.
"Why do you think that?" Jackson asked carefully.
"Considering how my last relationship ended? I figure people just see me as an easy target."
"You are anything but that Matt." Jacks immediately disagreed. "As your best friend i am obligated to tell you that you are a goddamn idiot if you think you're not going to find someone else."
"You really think that?" Matt's voice was quiet and filled with vunerability, but he hadn't opened his eyes or moved once.
"I do." Jacks said confidently, and apparently that was the right answer because Matt smiled lightly, causing a flutter in Jacks chest that he easily identified yet shoved down almost immediately.
"Thanks Jacks."
"Anytime Matty."
