After College (Vixie & Chris Powell)

Vixie's P.O.V.

It was night time....... I was sitting on the couch,arranging my textbooks. Chris comes and sits beside me while he wrapped his arms around me.

"How was your day?" he asked me

"It was okay I guess," I replied, putting my textbooks aside.

"Just okay?" he asked, raising his eyebrow

"Well,  I assume you already had a stressful day because of the student council, so......... " I replied, looking away

"Vixie........ " he lifted my chin up for me to look at him

"Tell me." he smiled at me

"Uh,okay, Reyna said I did a very good job on my article in the Knightly News" I replied, smiling a little

"Really? Congrats! How about we go take a walk on campus? I need some time for my favorite girl," he replied,  grinning at me as he held my hand

"Hmm....sounds perfect." I replied, smiling

"Let's go."

We walked around campus,hand in hand. I was enjoying my time with Chris since we were often busy with school.... I was busy with the Knightly News and school while Chris was busy with the student council  and school. So I was enjoying every single second we walked.

"So....... What now?" I asked, smiling at him while looking into his blue eyes

"Don't worry,  I have a reason why I asked you to walk with me here... " he kneels down on one knee, smiling wide at me

"Oh my god,Chris......." I gasped.

"Vixie Lane, the most beautiful, funny, sweet, kind, and incredibly sexy girl I have ever met...... Will you be my official official girlfriend?" He opened a red velvet box that showed a beautiful silver ring.

"I--I--yes!" I studdered because of the tears in my eyes

He placed the ring on my finger and he wrapped his arms around me.

"Vixie?" he asked

I hum in response

"I love you" he smiled at me

"I love you too" I replied as I pecked his cheek

We were walking back to the house....before I opened the door, Chris stopped me.

"Vixie, wait, " he said to me.

"What's wrong? " I asked him, concerned

"I.........um..."

He hesitated for a moment before talking.....

Is he hiding something that he doesn't want me to know?  Is it bad or good news?

"Promise me that, if there comes a time that I can't be with you or I'm not with you..... I want you to be strong, I don't want to be the reason to hold you back from your life. Live your life." Chris said, looking at me with a small smile

"Uh...." I replied

I do not know how to respond to that.. Is he trying to tell me something?  Is he breaking-up with me? Shut up. He just gave you a ring, Vixie!  Stop over-acting!

"Promise?" Chris asked me, with a serious look

I sighed.

"Promise. But it's not like you're leaving..... Uh, right? " I laughed nervously at him

"I--um---yeah! Of course not....... " Chris said, smiling at me.

Okay, something's wrong....

I was too tired to ask him questions so I just said 'goodnight' and I went to my room.
