SUMMER WAS AROUND the corner. It was already blazing hot outside, yet it rained every two days. That was normal though. That was London after all. It’s not raining now; rather, the sun is shining bright. The citizens took that as a grand opportunity to grab their sunscreen and go sunbathing in their backyards, or in the local swimming pools that were already congested with a great amount of people.
Standing in the middle of the vast room was a woman who’s about to start growing grey hair from absolute frustration. She stared at the five boys sprawled on the beds, couches and even floor with confusion as they sneezed, coughed, and one of them looked as green as the colour of his eyes.
“What – What is going on?” Scarlett Winter stuttered baffled by the state of the five young boys in front of her.
“I’m sick” Niall Horan whined from the floor, not even having enough energy to pick himself up on the couch which was right beside his leg, “I need help”
“Are you all sick?”
“Really Scar?” The brunette with the dishevelled hair, Louis Tomlinson, asked with a tone of annoyance that Scarlett did not appreciate.
“We can’t do the interview Scar” the tall lean man coughed from the couch, Harry Styles, his hands covering his face, “Sorry”
“We can’t really do anything right now” Liam Payne, who was covered with a pink blanket shivered.
“Oh god, this is not good” the blonde – whose natural brunette hair colour was already peaking from the roots – started pacing around the room. What was she going to do? She had five sick boys on her case, two interviews to be done today, a concert tomorrow, and yet none of them had enough stamina to speak two words. Pinching the bridge of her nose – much like Harry does when he’s frustrated – she snatched her cell phone from her pocket and dialled the number of the only person that could possibly help right now.
Finding an empty chair beside the dining table – which was at the side of the living room against a wall – she sat herself and waited for the few rings to pass.
Finally, the ringing stopped and Scarlett hastily spoke into the phone, not even waiting for a hello, “Remember that day you ran out of milk and you were freaking out and I left my job just to go get you milk from the grocery store?”
“Um – are you okay Scar?”
“Do you remember or not?”
“Yeah I guess”
“Well you said you owe me your life, well I damn need your life right now”
“Did you kill someone Scarlett? Do you need me to hide a dead body with you?”
“What? No – No! I did not kill someone, oh my god”
One of the boys chuckled as he heard that because it was evident Scarlett would kill someone if they played with her nerves.
“Right, what do you need then?”
“I have five sick snotty boys here, I need you for two weeks, pack your bags”
Not even waiting for a response, Scarlett hung up the phone. “Help is on the way” she explained to the five boys who looked absolutely confused at the phone conversation they just witnessed, “Now I need to go cancel everything you have for the next two weeks, this does not look good”
