She would never take her coffee black, instead choosing to dilute it with a lot of milk. He, on the other hand, was a strictly black coffee kind of guy, a perfect extension of his general no-nonsense attitude. She was usually the one to soften the stark lines he loved to draw so much, but were of not much use out in the real world. As grateful as he was for that, there was still a part of him that was waiting for the day he could finally go and create his own world in the starkest of contrasts. It had been done before, after all.
