~TRIGGER WARNING: SELF HARM AND UNDER EATING/POSSIBLE EATING DISORDER~
When Judal awoke the sun was already beginning to rise, the blinding streaks of sunlight streaming in from the window drawing a small hiss from the boy as he raised his aching arm to cover his eyes.
Being startled from the sudden movement, Sinbad lifts his head up off the bed and rubs the sleep from his eyes, his legs and body aching from falling asleep sitting down leaning against the bed ''Ah, you're awake I see'' he speaks up, his voice hoarse having not been used for hours. Noticing Judals discomfort Sinbad pulls himself up to his feet and draws the curtains closed ''Sorry, I forgot to close them last night'' he adds apologetically, turning back to face Judal he sees a look of utter confusion spread across his pale and bruised features.
''Why the fuck am I in you house?'' Judal questions before coughing a chesty cough to which Sinbad hands him the glass of water that was sitting on the nightstand. After gulping down half the glass Judal glares looking up at Sinbad ''I asked a question dumbass'' to which Sinbad merely chuckles ''You came here yourself last night...'' he trails off and pauses for a moment and then resumes ''You knocked on my door at like two am, it was storming and you looked like you were badly hurt so I didn't wanna just leave you outside'' he finishes talking and sees Judal staring vacantly at the wall ''Do you remembe-'' Sinbad goes to speak but is cut off by Judal ''Yes; I remember'' he says, his voice quivering as if he's on the verge of tears.
After a moment of silence Sinbad speaks up ''Sorry I didn't patch you up last night, your visible wounds aren't deep and I didn't want to be invasive so I thought it'd be better to wait until you woke up'' to which Judal replies a mumbled 'thanks' ''...You can, help me now if you want'' he says quietly, Sinbads eyes furrow in concern ''Are you sure?'' he asks, Judal simply nods and pushes the bedsheet to the side, pulling himself into a sitting position on the edge of the bed ''If I came to your house of all places at such a time in a state like this then I must've deemed you trustworthy in the moment'' he adds.
Sinbad just lets a gentle smile fall across his features as he goes into the bathroom to retrieve a first aid kit.
Sitting back down on a chair beside the bed Sinbad silently works his way up Judals legs, cleaning and bandaging his cuts before moving up to his arms. He pauses for a moment, carefully dragging his thumb across the many scars along the pale boys wrist that were now visible thanks to his bracelets being off which left horrible ribbed bruises in their wake''We all have a past, mind your own business'' Judal spits coldly, once again glaring at Sinbads concerned face, despite the warning Sinbad still asks ''Are these self inflicted?'' as he cleans the new and old reopened old cuts on Judals forearm ''What do you think idiot, would I tell you not to ask me if they weren't?'' the younger boy replies, a mix of anger and sorrow in his voice. Deciding to leave the subject alone for now Sinbad simply resumes what he was doing.
Sinbad gently tugs on Judals ripped shirt and looks at him cautiously as if to ask if he could take it off, Judal mutters something under his breath as he removes it before once again staring at the wall and letting out a shaky breath. Sinbad now sees why Judal was so apprehensive about taking his shirt off.
You could count every rib that was protruding from Judals pale skin, the skin on his back dipping and rising with his spine, his hip bones protruding and forming a small dent in his body and his collarbones could probably function as a bowl. There were slash marks along his chest and many cuts and bruises along his back as well as upper arms ''Stop staring'' Judal spits, venom in his voice. Sinbad looks at him concerned ''Who's doing this to you?''
Judal gulps and stutters in a soft voice ''I-it's none of your concern.''
Sinbad frowns but decides to stay quiet yet again just continue what he was doing. By the end there was hardly any limb on Judals body that wasn't covered in bandages.
''You should eat something'' Sinbad says as he stands back up ''I'm not hungry'' Judal retorts ''You're skin and bones, you're going to eat something or i'll take you to the hospital'' Sinbad snaps back, Judal pauses for a moment before rolling his eyes ''Fine, jerk'' he says as Sinbad leaves the room. Deciding to follow him Judal stands up off the bed, taking a moment to steady himself he follows after Sinbad and walks down the stairs to sit at the kitchen table. Sinbad just makes some simple toast and bacon and taps away at his phone while he waits as Judal sits silently.
Sinbad sets a plate with toast and bacon in front of Judal and sits watching him expectantly, not having the energy to argue Judal beings nibbling at his toast which causes a wide grin to spread across Sinbads features ''Don't look to pleased with yourself, I just don't have the energy to fight you about this'' Judal mentions ''I wonder why'' Sinbad says sarcastically as he takes bites of his own food. Judal just rolls his eyes and looks around Sinbads house ''Pretty big house, do you live alone?'' he asks. Sinbad shrugs and replies ''Sometimes friends crash at my place but I usually am alone, I just like having the space'' to which Judal just nods his head as a 'fair enough'.
''So Judal; You show up at my door at two in the morning during a thunderstorm covered in bruises and cuts, you mumble something I can't understand and then collapse. Care to explain?'' Sinbad asks.
''Well...'' Judal trails off
