"you've been busy these days?" kana nudged the sweaty yukhei playfully, only to earn a pout from him, "i'm so tired kana! why did i decide to enroll into baseball in the first place? i honestly have no idea what the fuck's going on while practicing!" he whined almost immediately, which made kana roll her eyes.

"oh, please, you're doing great." she said, in hopes that'll be a form of comfort somehow towards her friend. yukhei immediately shook his head, "no!" he exclaimed, at this point, he was acting like a kid, luckily for him, their school's field was big enough for no one to see him acting like that. "and i'm so nervous for the competition–you need to watch me!" he said, along with his exaggerated big hand movements.

kana shrugged as she took a sip of yukhei's water, "sure, why not?" she paused, "it's my best friend's first match!" she proclaimed happily, which yukhei grinned as a response. "okay, now that you've agreed, you can't disagree." he said, breaking their little happy moment. "what do you mean?" she asked, quickly to frown.

"the competition's held at springfield high." he smiled cheekily, with his big brown eyes, he gave her, the look. yukhei wasn't saying anything in particular, he was just staring right into kana's eyes, and that was saying enough. kana froze for a moment. "but that's doyoung's school." she said softly.

yukhei started making movements that looks like he was about to whine, and the girl sighed. "but it's my first match–ever!" he said, taking the girl's hands in his, basically begging for her to go. "but it's doyoung's school!" she said again, and yukhei let out a heavy sigh.

"so be it! it's also jungwoo's school!" he pointed out, and once again, kana froze–not in horror this time, but in daze as she thought of jungwoo. yukhei noticed her change of expression and immediately rolled his eyes.

"so?" he asked, interrupting kana and her thoughts. kana's eyes darted everywhere–everywhere but yukhei's eyes. after a long pause from the girl, she heaved a sigh. "fine," she trailed off, still not looking at yukhei. the boy had the brightest smile on his face, but that wasn't for long. not until kana said, "but i won't promise you anything, okay?" she kinda felt guilty for saying that.

yukhei felt a little sad by kana's word but he shrugged it off, and pulled kana into a tight hug. "thank you! i love you so much, bae kana!" he said, almost suffocating kana as he hug her. they pulled away, kana stared at him in the eyes, "i'm going to smell like you know. geez, don't ever hug me when you're sweating, yukhei." she warned, pointing her index finger to his nose.

yukhei shrugged, "i don't care–i'll even kiss you if i want." he winked. kana gave him a disgusted expression before standing up, "i'm gonna go home now. have fun practicing, xuxi." she paused, remembering something. "hey, just to let you know, jaera calls you 'sushi'," she smiled, though it was more of a smug look from kana.

the boy acted as if he didn't care, but his cheeks acted otherwise. "sushi..." he muttered, before looking up to his friend. "pshh!" kana rolled her eyes playfully as she placed her blazer on her arm, "see you tomorrow, sushi!" she grinned, and then walked away.

"wait, kana, you don't want to go?" jaera asked, kana nodded slowly, her eyebrows creased as she felt guilty with her decision. jaera shook her head slowly.

jaera came over to kana's house with the intention to finish her assignment, since kana had already passed her's to their teacher, she thought kana would be some sort of help for her. but that idea clearly flopped since now they ended up sitting on kana's bed, listening to kana's worry upon going to yukhei's baseball match.

"kana, it's your best friend's first match ever–like, that dude's a total weirdo–this might be his first and last time, you know?" she said, in an attempt to convince kana. "why are you so worried to meet doyoung anyways?" she added, genuinely curious.

with the mention of doyoung's name, kana sighed heavily as she buried her face in her pillow. "because he's so handsome now! and i hate that i think that way of him." she said, her eyebrows furrowed in frustration, "therefore, i hate him." she added.

jaera gave her a look, "sure." she said. "i can go with you, and like, drag you away from doyoung. i think it'll be fun." she grinned, kana raised an eyebrow, "really?" she asked, her voice sounded relieved that jaera was willing to go see the match with her. "yeah!" she answered, nodding her head along the way.

"on one condition, though," she smiled, a look of mischief on her. "you're friends with the senior ten right? can you ask him to go too?" she said, still grinning. kana's jaw dropped, "you like him?" she asked, she already felt a pang of heartbreak–for yukhei.

upon hearing that, jaera's eyes widened, but she decided to keep calm. "since i like messing around with you, i won't tell you," she explained. kana furrowed her eyebrows, "then, i won't bring ten." she snapped, kana expected jaera to whine or something, but instead she just shrugged.

"well, that's fine." she said, giving kana a smug look–knowing that she just won against her friend. "oh, damn it!" kana exclaimed, throwing a pillow towards her friend.
